The brisket was good, I wish I'd gone with all moist instead of 50/50 though. The star however for me were the sweet potato... fries.....maybe the best I've ever had! The lemonade was also good as it was basically just lemon juice and water....no obvioussugar. I finished things with the banana pud which was tasty and creamy. Good service throughout. Large plates of delicious smoke meats for the glutton in you! Generous portions of brisket served with country style sides.... Creamy mac & cheese, savory sweet potato fries and tangy pickles. I love the brisket from this place and have gotten it at 3/5 locations and it has been good every time. I have even referred... people to go here. Yesterday I ordered a pound of brisket to go so I could enjoy it for dinner, as I live out of town butdidn’t want to pass up the opportunity. Well once I got home and gave the brisket a closer look, I noticed that 2-3 sliceswere pure fat. I thought maybe it was some small layers of fat with meat behind them, but no, it was 100% fat through andthrough. So essentially 30% of the brisket I bought, at $28/pound ($30 after tax), was worthless. I’m unfortunately unhappywith this most recent experience. I didn’t expect anything extra, just the $30 worth of product I paid for. I will return toone of the restaurants whenever I’m close by, but if I have another experience like this one, I may start shying away fromthis place. Read more

Definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was great! The atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. Visited this... place for Saturday lunch with friends. Normally don't order ribs but ordered the beef rib meal with two sides that was part ofthe Saturdays lunch special. What a meal! Best beef rib order I've eaten. Read more

First time at Midwood and having southern BBQ so I don't have any reference to go on. Service was amazing. Server was engaging... and very nice. Had a jalapeno drink and it was spicy! The combo platter was really good for a first timer like myself. Lovedthe ribs and hush puppies those were my fav. The brisket was on the dry side. Had collard greens and Brunswick stew for thefirst time and enjoyed them both. Too full to have dessert. Read more
