What a fantastic restaurant. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile from the hostess Monica, and seated at a... beautiful white-tablecloth table. Almost immediately, our waiter Brendan was there filling our cups with water, telling us thespecials, and taking our order, all with a smile on his face. They had live music playing as well, which is always a treat forme, especially as a fellow musician. Brendan was an absolute PHENOMENAL waiter. I don't think I've had better service at anyother restaurant before. Upon hearing I was a musician, we engaged in a light hearted quick conversation, which left me with asmile. The food was also amazing. For the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the quality of the food, you would be led to believethe bill would be hefty. It ended up being around $25 less than I predicted, which is also a huge plus. I highly recommend Honukitchen, and will definitely be returning. Read more
We were there for a large dinner upstairs. Our server was delightful and attentive. Cocktails were proper but the food on the... other hand wasn't at its best. The octopus was overcooked and even seemed to have sat under the heat lamps a few minutes toolong (the sauce seemed to have already dried up a bit and adhered to the plate, wished I took a picture of it), the fish wasovercooked and under-seasoned (edges were tough and a bit chew). The salad was probably the only dish done properly. We thenmigrated downstairs for the music and dancing which they're known for. All-in-all, I would come for the cocktails andentertainment, as for the food, perhaps I'll try again during the day or mid-week when they're not as busy. Read more
I visited Honu tonight with a few coworkers. Everything about Honu was great. We were very pleasantly greeted by out server... Patrick. Patrick made our night perfect. Great drink, including a special drink that I requested from the bartender. Food waswonderful and served at a perfect temperature. And the bread pudding....let me say that again... The Bread Pudding! It wasgreat!. The restaurant is beautiful, the service phenomenally and the food delicious. 10 out of 10 will definitely go back. IfI had to make suggestion it would be to put a tequila based cocktail on your cocktail list. A girls gotta have her margarita???? Read more
Honu is just a really good time! The food and drinks are excellent and I love that they have a DJ on the weekends. Their menu is... delicious and executed so well. It’s also a nice touch that the menu changes seasonally. Definitely a great place to celebratea birthday or get together with a group of friends! Read more
I want to thank the staff and Sal for an amazing night for my anniversary! He greeted us so welcoming and accommodated us to... what we needed. The food he recommended was out of this world! To preface this review, my friend and I are both servers and bartenders so we know good service when we see it and WOW. Manager... Grace was so kind and sweet and gave us the run down on the menu and then our server Brendan was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Sopersonable and fun, he made our whole experience 100/10. The food was amazing, Brendan recommended the sea bass which wasphenomenal but the level of service we received was above and beyond. we will be back very soon and we will be sure to leteverybody know how incredible our experience was all around. would give more stars if possible.
