I don't get down here often but I have never had a bad experience here. I have had everything from salmon to whitefish to... calamari and I don't think I have ever had a bad meal or bad service here. They remodeled a little since the last time I washere too but the atmosphere is always great. This place is a hidden gem in my tri-state area. It is the best seafood place youwill find in this part of the country unless you can make it down to the Carolinas. We are in West Virginia visiting from North Carolina and wanted some fish. We decided to try this restaurant out! I ordered the... blackened white fish dinner and got a side salad with the Mediterranean dressing and parsley butter potatoes. They brought uscomplimentary hush puppies with a sweet butter. We also ordered the crab dip, a fish po boy, the shrimp and the cod dinner. Thefood was delish! Really enjoyed the food + it was very filling!! Our waiter was pleasant + friendly. I love this place. They always have good food, and great service. If you enjoy local "non-chain" eateries, you should definitely... check out Jewel City. I included two pics. Good location, limited parking though. I ordered the trio platter. Catfish, cod,and devil crab. With Cole slaw, fries, and... green beans w/ tomatoes. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
