This was one of the few restaurants open on Thanksgiving evening. I took my mother here for dinner. She approved! When Mom... approves, you know it\'s good. I ordered the Chilean sea bass and it was amazing! They have mashed potatoes that are to die for. They also were able to pair my entree with a lobster tail for only $9. That was also deliciously prepared. The server was alwaysattentive and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction at the table. Service was always given with a smile. Read more

My date took me to the Roux Seafood Kitchen for my birthday. I have to say by far it\'s my favorite restaurant. I loved the... food. The hospitality was everything. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. I had the salmon with french fries and shrimp. My date had the stuffed lobster. My birthday dessert was fried bananas with ice cream on the house. Our food was amazing. I\'lldefinitely come back. I\'d highly recommend. Read more

Our visit to Roux Seafood.\nCame for the Louisiana style food and left slightly less enthusiastic. Having visited Louisiana on... many occasions I would say it is possible my standards were too high but what I was met with seems to be the standard undertheir soft opening.\n\nThe lack of alcohol made quite more impact then I thought it would especially with limited fountain drinkoptions.\n\nParking is decent\n\nKid options are non-existent but they do offer an appetizer of Chicken Tenders which savedus.\n\nFood was less then preferential. We ordered the jambalaya which was overloaded with 3 main ingredients: Spanish Rice,Bell peppers, and red pepper (Cayenne powder). Clearly leaving out the majority of speices recommended for this dish.Consistency was good and rice was cooked which was a bonus but that pepper flavor was overwhelming and not editable for thediners at my table. I ordered the lobster which was sorely disappointing. (Another reviewer described it best at length). Thelobster was presented with a mound of noodles pouring over and out of it. The white sauce had literally no flavor which made mewant butter and lemons but nothing really topped it right. After you get through 5lbs of noodles you are met with a mostlybroken lobster which took some of the fun of cracking it apart. The meat was tough although did glide out of the lobster so thatwas nice. The lobster honestly reminded me of the frozen stuff they sell at the store in big quantities and not the daily freshquality advertised.\n\nOverall I\'m sorely disappointed despite it being a soft opening the flavors overall were bland orlacking. I hope they manage to workout some of the kinks before opening but unfortunately I won\'t be back especially with themnot catering to kids in any way. Read more

This place started extremely strong with the oysters rockefeller. That shouldn\'t be much of a praise though, because thats a... hard dish to get wrong in the first place. These things though were thick, juicy, and extremely rich in a great way. Slappedontop of that rock hard bread, Roux had found themselves a winning pearl in these oysters. Honestly, I should have ended thedinner here.\n\nNow we get to the \"star\" of the night called the Lobster Empire... this concoction of seafood, noodles, andsauce really dropped the ball harder than the Hotak Empire which was a very shortlived empire. What we got on our hands here wasa severely overcooked lobster, filled with what seemed to be an abundance of frozen scallops and shrimp, then sauce topped. Iwas advertised a delicate blanc cream sauce over angel hair pasta. Instead I was served this abomination of the blandest creamsauce I wasn\'t even able to taste, salad tossed together with a Kraft spaghetti box. I had feared I\'d come down with the virusnot being able to taste anything that was coming off this plate.\n\nLastly, we end on the restaurant where the restroom\'s waterpressure has the might of a thousand suns blasting into a 2cm deep sink.\n\nI\'ve spent $100 on things far more stepped on thanwhat this place has to offer, but I sure do regret this one more than the others.\n\nAll that being said... I would come again.They\'re in their soft opening so I really can\'t expect perfection right off that bat. Get a couple drinks in me and anotherchoice off the menu and I 100% have a very differing opinion then the one I currently have above. They really need to expeditethat alcohol license application hanging on their door. Read more
