Service was slow, despite being on a Tuesday afternoon, food was so so not excited, I ordered a burrito with shredded beef that... missed the great marinated taste other joints have. It can be loud at times, people talkinc two tabless accross from eachothers. Parking is hard to find. Read more

This Super Mex is even better than the one that closed in Fountain Valley. The food is Great and the service was Fantastic. ... It's way bigger inside than it looks from the outside. We went Friday night around 6 and it was packed but they had plenty ofservers to take care of everyone. The food came to us piping hot and their sauces and salsa is the best anywhere. I left a 30%tip! Super! Read more

This is my first time at this location, and we sat on the covered patio to enjoy the ocean breeze. The homemade chips and salsa... were delicious. The food is a great example of the standard SoCal Mexican street fare. They have 20 taps of beer with manycraft styles including a few from local breweries. They are known for their large "SuperMex" burritos which are covered inrich flavorful homemade red or green sauce. This time I got the chicken enchilada with rice and beans from the "light" menu. The whole beans were especially flavorful this visit. Read more

One hostess is blunt (not in a mean way) and the other is kind with a smile. The food is awesome and portions are what I expect... for the price. Never ate in, but it seems to always be packed, busy and fairly loud, what with it being a sports bar and all. Read more

Terrible experience- do not recommend for dog lovers or pet owners. Even OUTDOOR seating (which we chose specifically four our... dog)- the manager was unreasonable and simply petty. I brought my dog in her little enclosed stroller and he said I had to takeher out and put her on the floor because "it is germy" (my dog) and obviously taking her out and putting her on the ground wouldhelp keep their place cleaner... she was in her stroller! Not out or on a chair, etc. But he would rather have us take her outand walking around on a leash than in there?! Makes no sense. I did not see how she was bothering anyone as she is very quietand we take her with us to dine on patio seating frequently. For context, she has separation anxiety and would rather come withus than be left alone. She is very good, not barking and disrupting others- usually people don't even know she is there. She isa small yorkie poodle mix and we bathe her at least once every week, usually more because we take her on walks often.Unreasonable. Read more

Really wanted tacos and I have not had SuperMex in a while since the Cypress restaurant has been closed forever. Walked right... in at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. Looks like they remodeled and the upgrade looks great. Lots of beers on tap at the bar, TV?splaying sports, nice atmosphere. I ordered my usual?. 2 shredded beef tacos plate that come with beans and rice. Prettydisappointed in the tacos. The meat was tasty and was piping hot. The tortilla was very thin and not crispy at all. I waslooking forward to a crunchy shell stuffed with meat, lettuce and cheese. Good amount of meat but kinda skimped on thecheese. Service was great. Food came out fast and hot. Just expected more like the cypress SuperMex tacos. Read more
