What a waste of time, over priced and little food. Everyone sits at a bar, couldn't hear each other. It is not the place to sit... and enjoy "everyone's" company.You cook your own food in a broth. $25-30 for 4 -6 oz of meat, a little bit of veggies and ascoop of rice. Yuppie heaven. I was obsessed with Tabu Shabu when i discovered it in Carlsbad, went back 3x on that mini getaway. There?s something about the... freshness of eating shabu shabu (hot pot) that is so satisfying. Then Tabu Shabu takes it an extra step, they transform yourleftovers into an Asian Risotto... creamy, delicious, and mouth-wateringly good. Service was great at this Huntington Harbourlocation in an outdoor mall by Trader Joe?s. They play upbeat music, keep the space sanitized and comfortable, they seat partiesin pods, constant attention given with extra condiments, serving utensils, monitoring your broth, super hot sauce drops in yourdipping sauce upon request, etc. We got the grass fed prime beef regular size and tonkotsu broth or spicy miso / tonkotsumix. Bountiful set of fresh veggies that you can choose to customise, my daughter only got broccoli, spinach and tofu. Myteenage nephew inhaled his first round of beef, so we got him another set of beef.. It?s a lot of food, so i always have a lotof leftovers. They take your leftover broth, add rice, add more broth over and over until it thickens.
