Unfortunately there are only a handful of Original Pancake Houses that are still serve very good and ?original? breakfast meals.... This location has gone downhill. We?ve eaten here several times in the last few years and it is not the same. The thick bacon isnow thin paper and burnt by the time it hits your table. And our favorite apple pancake is much much smaller and lacking apples!I know times are hard and restaurants try ?cutting? corners, but you would think that the increase in pricing would make up forit, but NO, not the case. The food was decent nothing spectacular. The service was okay. The place was busy around 11 when we came in but server lisa was... still very attentive to our needs. The price is reasonable. If you just want pancakes and decent breakfast it?s a good place totry. Read more
Tried the Dutch boy, my first time having it and it was pretty good. Not too sweet and a good tang to it with the lemon. Their... whipped cream is amazing!!! I make whipped cream from scratch at home and it?s not as good as this place. They must use a doublecream to make it that I?ve only seen at specialty stores and want to try some day. Great experience! Best pancakes and waffles in the game. Yummy freshly squeezed orange juice too! The customer service was also... pretty good. The atmosphere is very homey and cozy. It does get very crowded, and they close really early. Might be a long wait.So go early. We walked out satisfied and with our bellies happy and full. Would love to come again! Read more
Great food and our server was excellent! She checked in on is frequently, made great recommendations and was super friendly. The... omelettes are huge and won?t disappoint! Minus one star for the host staff. There wasn?t a wait when we came in but the hostswere definitely OVER their job? same when we were checking out and paying. Outstanding! The service, the food, we had a very good time. Best corned beef hash I've ever had. And the potato pancakes, wow.... The also have Real maple syrup, which is a Must Have since my wife loves pancakes. Oh and the pancakes were excellent. And theeggs were cooked perfectly. We are definitely going to be regulars here. Highly recommended. Oh and they have good coffee too.Also the Eggs Michael was great, cool sort of fusion between biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. EDIT: 3/13/22 This was oursecond time coming here. They only know how to exceed expectations! Our server Joel was great, very professional. And the foodis always outstanding. Chocolate chip pancakes are good, eggs Benedict was good, however the potato pancakes were tasteless...Couldn't even finish... them... in all honesty I'd rather just go to cracker barrel for breakfast. Sorry, but its true, you get a better value andflavor. I don't usually trash talk or name drop other restaurants, but I overall I was disappointed ???? and when I left I wasunsatisfied wishing I had eaten somewhere else. Also they didn't have soap in the bathroom and an employee offered for me towash my hands in the kitchen....so...no thanks, I appreciate the offer but that violates health codes.
