My husband and I went there for dinner with reservations on a Saturday night. The ambiance is casual and they have a bar with... Tv’s to watch the game. We were seated right away and our server was very friendly. Food was prompt, we were in and out in 1hrwhich is pretty good for a 6pm Saturday night. The complementary bread with oil was good, soft, thick, and airy. We ordered aCaesar salad and bruschetta for an appetizer. The Salad and bruschetta was fresh. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the bread forthe bruschetta, the same used for the bread and oil dip. I like my bruschetta on a thinner crispy baguette but the flavor wasgood. My husband ordered the chicken pesto pizza but he didn’t love the flavor combo with artichokes. I ordered the fish ofthe day which was a pan seared halibut with a mushroom spinach risotto. The halibut had the perfect sear and the risotto wascreamy. If you’re mostly plant based there aren’t many options. Overall, we weren’t impressed with the food but if Italianand meat is your thing, there are many options. (Clearly I need to work on my camera eating first lol) Read more

Lovely food, attentive waitstaff and absolutely jaw-dropping desserts. We had the lunch specials of Alfredo Imperial and... Pomodoro with Caesar Salad. Only minor whine is that the Caesar isn't as strong as I'm used to but that's all up topreference. Tirsmisu was huge and so gorgeous we couldn't even wait for me to take a picture! Kudos to Sarah M, our wonderfuland charming server that made us smile! Read more

Ordered the "Chicken Acuto" early bird special, $14, very reasonable. Good portion size. Everything was really tasty, even the... normally bland and plain green beans. Chicken cut easily, tender not rubbery, and it was juicy. The bread was a little toughand dry, but perhaps on purpose -- may have been intended for dredging through herbed olive oil? Clean and attractive diningarea, bar, patio. Read more

Excellent service, excellent food, nice and relaxing ultra-clean atmosphere. It has a nice bar area and a large outdoor dining... area. The kitchen undercooked my filet twice, but management made sure we were credited my entire meal AND threw in a dessert!(Customer service lives!!) We had the pecan butter crunch cake and it was delish. This is a sister restaurant to Char, butit was much more affordable. Nice to have a “real” Italian restaurant come to Huntsville. (Sorry, we forgot to get pics ofour entrees). We plan to go back - so there will be other opportunities. Read more

This was our first trip to Amerigo, a new Italian restaurant in Huntsville. It is related to Char Restaurant, another quality... restaurant located here. Amerigo was very good. The service was outstanding. The teamwork of people working together wasimpressive. No one hesitated to take away dishes, deliver an order as soon as it was ready or bring more iced tea to the table. Our server, Chris, did an excellent job but with everyone working together as they did, everything went very smoothly. There isa luncheon menu with different specials each day. My dining companion planned on having a vegetarian lasagna which was the dailyspecial. We were having a lunch at 1 PM or so and it was already sold out so it was a popular dish. The luncheon specials areless expensive and smaller servings—both qualities we appreciate at lunch. I had spaghetti and a meatball accompanied by ahouse salad (choice of Caesar salad or mixed greens). There was one huge meatball on top of the pasta (see photo). The sauce wasdelicious, the meatball was flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It was a smaller portion so I left full without beingcomfortable which can happen with a large platter of spaghetti. My dining companion opted for the veal picatta. It was verygood. It seemed salty but there were a lot of capers on it and they are a salty addition. The bread was very fresh and includedolive oil with a smattering of peppers which provide a good flavor. We usually pass on dessert. On this instance, we decided tosplit the Tiramisu. lt had good flavor and more than enough for two people to split. I am more used to the dish being very moistwith a rum flavor. In this instance, there was a cake and included Kahlua and chocolate. It was very tasty. The cake was alittle dry and probably would have benefitted from more moisture from rum or the Kahlua. There is an extensive wine list andthere is a very good selection of wines by the glass or by the bottle. The atmosphere is relaxin Read more

This was our first time at the Huntsville location and the food was absolutely fabulous! Our server was very attentive and her... name was Aaliyha. She was one of the reasons why this place’s deserves a 5 star review. She also had a great since of humorand hospitality. I ordered the lasagna and it was very delicious. Crispy on the ends, with a sweet and savory flavor. It’snice to see Huntsville getting more Italian restaurants. Read more

Made a reservation on open table, was set immediately when we came in. Service was great, food even better! We started with the... mussels, then both had Caesar salads. My husband got the cannelloni based on the waitresses recommendation and I got thecarbonara. Everything we ate was outstanding. We are so happy to have this new Italian place in our neighborhood and we werealready discussing when we would be coming back! Read more
