La Esquina has a nice welcoming vibe to it. There is a nice amount of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. The drinks are... made well. The server we had was always checking on us and fast with any requests. The price of the meal was nice. No free chipsbut definitely worth paying for them! Great place to eat and you will leave feeling good. Read more

Second time coming, both times a great experience. Love the Monday all day happy hour and the food is delicious. The bowls are... similar to what you would get at a chipotle or a moes but 100x more authentic with a more developed flavored palette. Empanadasare also pretty delicious. Also bonus points for having a modern aesthetic Read more

Go for the street tacos here, as well as the chips and queso / salsa. Great new & fresh Mexican joint that is clean yet... traditional. Has outdoor and indoor seating and is close by / in walking distance to other local bars and eats. Read more

First time visiting this place, it is pretty large inside, alot of seating, they have a bar. It is very clean, it was also very... quite. I enjoyed myself with a group of ladies. The Food was great , we had Brunch. They have a menu just for brunch choices andI decided on the El Tradicional meal. The price was good, The crew I came with order other things off the menu. I tried theGaucumole for the first time, it wasn't bad at all. would recommend this place for brunch. Read more

It was a mixed bag experience: some good some bad. The server Neil was professional and attentive and did his level best to... make this culinary outing worthwhile. Our initial greeting was a bit strange when the hostesses stated there was a 45 minutewait when in fact there were 3 tables open. Ten minutes passed and finally the front end manager came and seated us with 1single paper menu which was stained wi the smallest font and totally unreadable. Thankfully Neil the waiter was able todescribe the offerings and price points succinctly and clearly. LA Esquina uses paper napkins.I find this offensive cheap andridiculous. If you want to charge fine dining prices use cloth/linen napkins;it matters. Note to ownership: Your coffee isinspid weak and horrible. Why no expresso? If you want to be known as an urbane cosmopolitan eating destination get great coffeeand expresso please. The Food: I had the Jaliso salad with grilled camarones and scallops, arugula, avocado cilantro and lotsof fresh squeezed lime juice.Though this was very good. My wife had the chicken bowl which she said was tasty and filling. Thestar of the show were the charcuterie boards. We ordered two, the goat cheese board accompanied by grapes, fig preserves, toastpoints, and a few pecans. The other charcuterie board had Serrano ham which was also really nice counter point to the sharp tasteof the Jalisco salad. Note to Ownership/Management..Would be nice to have freshly made tortillas when the entrees arepresented. Love the restaurants interior design and really like the open glassed in kitchen design too Prices: $95.00 taxincluded. No liquor Gratuity was additional and very well deserved. Read more

Had a girls night for my birthday a few weeks ago here. We had a reservation, but did have to wait about 25 minutes. Very nice... atmosphere, but really loud on a Saturday night. We finally were sat and enjoyed some great food. Our server was helpful sincethis was our first visit. The food was really good with fresh ingredients. We loved the guac and tacos! Will definitely beback again. Read more

We’ve been wanting to try La Esquina Cocina for a while now and I’ll say it did not disappoint. We went for brunch on the... weekend and had mimosas and margaritas, can’t go wrong there! Highly recommend the spicy marg and guava mimosa. The taco platecomes with 3 tacos of your choice and they were all great. You should definitely order some queso and salsa as an appetizer. Thechips seemed to be fresh and house made. The restaurant decor was nice and very modern. They have plenty of indoor seating aswell as some tables outside. They had live music on the patio with an outdoor pass through to the bar inside. The bathrooms werealso very clean. Located pretty central to downtown, it’s within walking distance of your favorite bars and Big Spring Park.We will definitely be back some time for dinner. One of our new favorite spots in downtown Huntsville. Read more
