Okay, my first review of this restaurant was excellent! This time however, not so much. The food was okay but it took a long... time to get it delivered this time and my order was short 3 items. Those delicious eggrolls I previously bragged about weremissing in this order and I had ordered them additional to what comes with combos. When I called the restaurant to inquire aboutthem, I was told that they were 100%positive the eggrolls were in the bag! They were 100%wrong! They highly suggested that thedelivery driver must have ate them! If true he must have eaten 2 dumplings also. I hadn't been here in well over a decade or more. My wife and I were a bit skeptical after seeing the review rating but we were... pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was extraordinarily clean, the items on the buffet were fresh, looked and tasted delicious.Staff was courteous and prompt. Food is pretty good for a Chinese buffet. I eat here quite often and I always get the hibachi grill, which is really good.... However, don't expect the cook to be happy to see you, even when you tip he still is not very nice at all. It was as good as you can expect from a buffet style, Chinese food restaurant. I have frequented there semi-regularly. The... choices were relatively wide and the food seemed well cooked. I arrived there just as they were putting out the evening buffetso everything was fresh. In my experience if you visit out of the "normal serving rotation", the food can be somewhat stale. Theselection ranged from pepper chicken to Korean Style BBQ to Southern Fried Chicken. Ice-cream, jello, cookies and such fordessert. The Sushi bar served the usual selection of "vanilla" California style rolls. I have never tried their Habachi Grillbut the cook was on duty all the time I was there. They seemed to have solved all of their sanitation department problems. I didnot look at their score for cleanliness. I'll probably go back the next time I have a Jones for Chinese food. Read more
Went to the New China Grill & Buffett located at 207 Jordan Ln NW, Huntsville, AL 35805 for work lunch at 11:40 am on Tuesday... morning. Restaurant is clean and roomy. The hours are as follows: Store Hours: Mon - Thurs: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM Fri &Sat: 11:00 AM - 09:30 PM Sunday: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM Staff is friendly and server seated us and took my drink order right away. The sweet tea was strong but sweet & fresh. They have an extensive menu as well as the full buffet. I opted for the lunchbuffet which was $7.99 + $1.89 for the sweet tea. The buffet is all you can eat and has a great variety of hot and cold foodselections. There are chicken wings, fried chicken, sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken, chicken pot stickers, egg rolls,spring rolls, steak fries, bread rolls, garlic toast, the choices go on forever. There are soups, fresh fruits, shrimp, anddesserts. You can't beat the price of $7.99. for and all you can eat buffet withs many choices. We. arrived no long after theyopened at 11:00am so all food was hot and fresh. This is a great restaurant that offers something for everyone. There is plentyof seating for large or small groups. Food and service were great! Hibachi was very good! Kids were a little expensive at lunch time; they don't eat much.
