It's the best Indian food in Alabama. All other Indian establishments are a distant second in my humble opinion. The service is... warm, friendly,efficient and knowledgeable. The order was taken promptly and during our meal our glasses never went belowhalf.It makes the experience special when the staff is attentive and the meal is paced correctly. THE FOOD: The spice quotienton every dish was perfect,as requested. Dinner started with veggie samosas($4.99) hot from the fryer The tamarind and thecorriander dipping sauces was a nice finish. The Chicken 65 ($9.99) was bite size morsels of chicken in a cayenne spicey sauce.This appetizer was the star of the meal THE ENTREES The Lamb Rogan Josh($15.99) and the vegetarian Navratan Korma dishes weredeftly prepared and oh so good and satisfying The Buttered Naan ($3.99) and the Garlic Naan ($4.49) were a excellentaccompaniment to our two entrees. We finally tried this place in the old Beauregard's location on South parkway. The chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala were... excellent. We ordered "medium" spice and they had a little "pop" to them afa spicyness if you know what I mean. The garlic naanwas puffy and soft. Really good! One thing we appreciated was the generous helpings. Very nice surprise to receive big helpingsof food these days. We'll be back to try other menu items! Read more

I tore into my delicious naan before I started eating my butter chicken. Sadly two bites in, I felt incredibly unwell. I have a... pretty serious nut allergy. I was itching, mouth & throat were swelling and vomiting as I called Ruchi. The gentleman whoanswered said if the curry was red it wouldn?t have nuts but he?d check. I was placed on hold. He then said no one else hascomplained so I asked to check into the spices used. He placed me on hold again and when he answered he said he was told by theowner not to tell me anything but he spoke to the chef and the chef adds cashews. That?s very dangerous and frankly shady asheck. If you?re going to alter butter chicken note the ingredient change in the menu descriptions. If it had been a pistachioI?d go into shock in less than 2 minutes. Read more

Since moving to its new location on S Memorial, Ruchi?s food has much improved! They have an extensive menu of classic favorites... along with South Indian and Indo Chinese specialties. I recommend trying the Chicken 65 above anything. I look forward to manymore visits to try all they have to offer! Read more

Wow, this place had some of the best Indian food I've ever had! I went during lunch on a Sunday, and didn't wait long at all for... my food. My order consisted of garlic naan and chicken tikki masala (hot). It was just hot enough for my American palettewithout making my mouth feel like it's on fire. The waiters were attentive and quick to refill my drink, bring my bill, andclear the table. Prices were reasonable, and for the quality of the food & service, quite acceptable. It looks like they are still remodeling but don't let the looks fool you. This is the best Indian food I have has in... Huntsville. The food was very good. The spice level was just right. Even though it was fairly busy the owner came over to tellus about chicken biryani and the right way to combine the sauces with it. Highly recommend. Read more

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious Indian meal at Ruchi in Huntsville, Alabama. My wife ordered the veggie curry and I ordered... the butter chicken. I made the mistake of ordering it spicy hot. The prices for dinner are higher than we other Indian placesbut the portion sizes were large. The curry comes with rice but nahn is extra. I noticed that they have a lunch buffet.
