Arrive here to be told by the lady the Are closed!!! However the doors were still open and they let 35 people come inside to... turn them around saying ?we aren?t serving any food? no reason ? when offering to place a sign on the door the lady ignores thecustomers. Many were leaving a concert I counted 44 people come in and go out! Not only was there no service ? no answering thephone or anything! Just close down!! The waitress first gave my waffle to another man who had only ordered 1 waffle. (She even told him she was giving him an extra... waffle.) Then she didn't give me my waffle and I had to ask for it AND my drink. I also ordered my eggs over medium and theywere over light. Not satisfied at all. Read more
The lady that took our order, Jamiya, didn't listen so we repeated it several times. The rudest thing was when we were trying to... let the cook know where to put the extra eggs and the lady that took our order said, Sir, I've got this." Before I go any further - the food was GOOD. But the service was lackluster. Went in on both 7/4/22 and 8/13/22 (trying to give... it a second chance). 7/4 - I knew fully that going in on a holiday might lead to a different experience. But, I sat down atthe counter and was immediately told by one of the waitresses 'we ain't serving to go - you can leave!' I let the waitress knowthat I was dining in. She looked at me skeptically and shrugged and then walked away. A few minutes later she asked me what Iwanted. I asked her if she would please clean the counter down. She didn't. So...that was GROSS. Also, wasn't given a menu andhad to walk to a free table to get one. My food came out pretty quickly (but it was wrong...I will come back to this), but nosilverware. I asked and the same waitress just waked over and grabbed some and threw it on the table. Didn't put it on a napkinlike the normally do and the silverware just went all over the counter. But the worst of all of it was the fact the food waswrong. I ordered a waffle and a side of bacon. Never received the bacon. I was charged for it. I explained to the waitress thatI never received it. She told me I did. The cook corrected her and told her she never called it out. She still made me pay forit. Wasn't really thrilled with having to pay $2 (plus tax) for something I never got and then rudely treated because I sated Inever got it. 8/13/22 - Went back for my second and LAST experience with this location. I guess they really hate 'to go' ordersthere...because I walked in and sat at the counter. The same waitress from 7/4 told me the same thing 'we ain't serving to go -you can leave!' Good Waffle House, convenient to the hotels on University. Fast & friendly staff.
The food was great, BUT the server ( black girl with beads ) was so rude to the point where it?s like ?you need to go home if... you don?t want to be here?.
