It has been about a year since we have been here. The French fries leave a little to be desired. We had burgers and BBQ. The... food was delicious and came out in a reasonable time. I went into the restaurant to get me barbecue I purchased a two-meat sandwich which was rib and sausage, I was so disappointed... the sausage was sliced so thin and it was hard and dry, it had to be some that had been left from the day before. And the ribwas also dry, the top of the real was hard as if it had been refrigerated and warmed the next day maybe, so was the bread. Thetea was good. I enjoyed the food, the ham is my favorite. I went in a couple of weeks ago and Ordered the two meat plate, my sides were okra... and potato salad, when I arrived home my okra was not in the bag, I called as soon as I realized it no more than 10 minutes. Thegirl lied and said she put the okra in the bag, why would I waste my gas, and I think it was raining just for $3.00 order ofokra. I went back in 8/7/22 and I heard her say that?s the woman that lied about the okra. The staff was looking at me as aliar. Well that went my business. Just own up to your mistakes instead of making someone else out to be a liar. Anyone who knowsme would know better. Read more

March 30 2022 HORRIBLE!!!!! they gave us burned tenders that were overcooked and to make matters worse the grease was definitely... old. The tenders had that horrible smell of old grease!!!!! So we call them to tell them, they said they would remake them u getthere they didn't even try to remake them. They're went Dinner before work. Won't be back for a while. So disappointed. 6/2020Fry's we're almost raw, the tenders in the kids meal were chewy not fully cooked and the burger had a little pink in it. Won'tbe back for a while. Sloppy joe and mac were good. 12/19 Food was fresh and very good. The queso is thin but actually reallygood!!!! 5/19 Had the burger and chips special. Burger was perfectly cooked and the free beans were great. Still not a fan ofthey're BBQ except they're sloppy joes. 2/18 Foods getting better. Burger, tenders and sloppy joe was really good. Don'tunderstand why the cashier both times have been VERY RUDE... 11/18 ok im done, Burger was raw again and after saying well done.Have had this same issue 2 other times. Well not be ordering again 2/2018 Burgers r really good. Not a fan of there bbq butLucky they have a vast menu Nov 2017- ordered Chicken fried steak burger, Wow was shocked, Amazing!!!!!! Well I went back a couple more times, got 2 stars for 2 times beinggood then the other three disappointed. They're issue is consistency. Sometimes OK then otherwise just bad no flavor food.Definitely will not return. The cashier was super nice. Ordered onion rings, grilled chicken w/cheese and pickle only, andcheese burger w/fries. This is some of the worst tasting bbq I have ever eaten. The ribs had a horrible taste like they were off of a feral hog or... from a bad butcher. Sausage was bland. One thing is they give you huge portions. The staff is friendly and the price is right. Beans are awesome and so was potato salad and coleslaw. Read more
Mckenzie's is an institution in Huntsville and the best stop for bbq when in the area or worth the drive from wherever you are.... Great bbq and awesome burgers! Go for a brisket patty melt with jalapeno corn nuggets as your side or fried okra - and rememberyour tasty beans are always free. Read more
Today was my second time to dine there. Our experience today was the same as the first. The brisket was so dry I couldn't eat... it. The potatoes salad was without a doubt the worst I have ate in a long time. I am done with the place. Read more
