Great place. We stayed many times at the house next door and always spend some time at Bear Chaser's.
Ugh. We came from Willy's because Willy's doesn't do food right now. At Willy's it was a super fun atmosphere, bar games,... music, etc. etc. and then got to Bear Chaser's and it was like going to a funeral in comparison. The food was good. Nocomplaints there at all, and the owner is clearly trying to make this a place.. but the overall atmosphere was just dead. Theserver didn't seem like she wanted to be there, when trying to make small-talk, she looked at us as if we were aliens.. I mean,I get that they have a difficult, busy job.. but to have come from Willy's to here was a culture shock. I REALLY hope they canmake this place a destination.. but Willy's was packed until 2-3am, and Bear Chaser's was empty by 7. And there's a reason forthat. We wound up at Willy's every night and only went to Bear Chaser's once. We probably spent around $1000 at Willy's, and$100 at Bear Chaser's. I really hope the owner reads this and doesn't take offense to it, because I mean no offense byit. Their food was way better than average bar food, but good bar food in a morgue like atmosphere doesn't do anything for mostpeople. We will be back, though, and I REALLY would love to see the place hopping.. and they have a perfect opportunity rightnow to make a name for themselves since Willy's isn't doing food. Read more
Awesome food and service. The bartender and cook should be commended for the service and quality of our meal and drinks. So nice... to stop at a place on the trail of this quality. Read more
This place was great,for a far away destination. Like UTV and Snowmobile good time. Their right on island lake and right by the... trails. Good food and drinks, Have a fuel station. Talk about off the beaten path - you've got to work to get to Bear Chasers! We were on a bike packing trip and stopped in,... covered in dirt and soaked to the bone. They offered to dry our clothes and served us hot pizza and cold beer while we waited.Fun, quaint little bar. Would love to see how busy it gets during snowmobile season. Read more
This might be the coolest place to go on snowmobiles. Went there on 3-14-14 to get some lunch. Told them about the crappy... fishfry I had at Little Bohemia the night before and I got a fishfry for lunch on a Saturday. And of course, it was awesome. Will go again and again. Read more
Great stop when snowmobiling. Had a burger one day. It was bigger than normal and very good. Next night had a pizza for a... snack. It was hand made and was a nice crispy crust and sauce was good. Perfect after an entire day on the trails. Read more
