The Kimball Inn was an absolutely fantastic experience. This place is small... Expect to wait. We ended up waiting about an... hour, and it was worth every minute! I had lake superior whitefish, my wife had sea scallops. Both were perfectly prepared andvery tasty. I also had the "spicy chili" as one of my sides. To my delight, there was actually some spice; not enough to hurt,but enough to let you know it's there. If you happen to be in the area, stop and have a meal. You won't be disappointed. Read more
We were part of a party of 12 for a small wedding and they rolled out the red carpet. The food was hot and fresh. The wait staff... was very helpful even though they were super busy between our group and the rest of the customers. We got to talk to the cheffor a bit. And it was all very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back here when we come up north for vacations. Read more

Went here for a fish fry on Friday, Old Fashioneds were perfect and the Perch was served hot and delicious with a very thin... crispy breading. Decor is northwoods rustic, staff is friendly and attentive. Read more
This is one of our favorite spots to go and eat in the area. It is a small place so you might have to wait awhile for your food... but it is worth the wait. The prices are great and so is the food! Best food in the area for price, flavor and quality... The atmosphere is probably a 3 / 5 - dark & can be loud but clean and... well kept. Due to short staffing, the wait time can be quite long but as everyone will say, the food is worth the wait. Wedined there two nights in a row and tried several entrees. The only one that wasn't exceptional was the steak (totally lackingin flavor) but the friend mozzarella and schnitzel were AMAZING. They have a good thing going here. Read more
