After seeing many posts from a friend of ours about this place, we finally went there. I do like places that put in extra work... to make their own beers and create unique menus, found Fenceline to be everything I look for. Check out their menus; it'ssooooo much more than your typical tenderloins and fries place! Read more

Nice variety of beers. Only 3 in a flight but can order more samplers. Beer cheese for pretzel was good. Friendly staff.

I've visited the Fenceline Beer Lab at least a dozen times in the past year. I like the selection of beer here, as well the the... atmosphere of the establishment and the friendliness of the staff. While the menu isn't a huge menu, every food item I've evereaten there was delicious. I'd love to go back again soon! Read more

Good brewery in between Ankeny and Ames. Food was surprisingly good, particularly the sweet potato soup and the chili. The salsa... is homemade and while mild is definitely tasty. I only had three beers, my favorite was the Belgium. The Stout was slightlyhoppy for my taste. There's a place for the kids, so they don't interrupt your beer enjoyment. In the summer they have a niceoutside area. Read more

Exciting new brewery to visit in the area! I really love that they incorporate the spent grain from the brewing processing into... their foods and have rotating weekend menu. I would like a non-alcoholic kombucha (Wild Culture perhaps?) on tap for thedesignated drivers. With a nice variety of beers and foods I know we'll visit here often. Favorite beer: Burn the BoatsBrown Favorite food: Cranberry Walnut Salad Read more

Food is on point. Brussel Sprouts were amazing and the chips were awesome. Of course this place is called a beer lab and that... they are. An eclectic selection of hops and spices. My favorite of the night was the Picket Cream Ale with Key Lime. I wouldcertainly recommend a stop as it is a unique experience in a town without a lot to experience. Read more

I am from Portland, OR. This brewery is an absolute gem in the heart of Iowa. The staff is phenomenal, as is the food (in... particular the Brussels Sprouts!) and the beer. All wrapped in a place with very cozy and homey atmosphere. Keep doing whatyou're doing, guys! Read more
