Food was good and quick. Lots of beer and drinks. A little suspect of how to order food. Since I was paying i asked the... server of each person orders on their phone and the bill gets combined by the table number to one person. They seemed confusedby my question. Found If you are paying for the group you must order everything from one device. Plus as a small business theyhad 4 swipe charges and could have been one. We will be back and recommend. Read more
I had lunch at Flight in July, it was delicious!! So when we were planning to be in the area in August my husband and I... returned. The food was amazing! The draft beer was delicious and the staff was wonderful! We loved the indoor and outdoor space,it's a place where you can bring your family and friends for a great meal! Servers were attentive and polite but ordering was done via QR-code and the website response was spotty at best. Food and drinks... were delivered quickly. Got the tenderloin with sweet potato fries. Unlike most tenderloins with lettuce tomato pickles onions,this one came with a sharp aioli and baby lettuce. A different flavor, but good. The sweet potato fries were undercooked: limpand cool. The server assured me this was not the norm. The portions were reasonable and at a good price. The dining space isyour typical craft beer/burger in a black box with no sound deadening properties at all. Makes for a loud experience, butthere's a fun energy to the place. Read more
First off, I Love the order from your table idea and wish more places did this. Despite this setup, a waitress came over right... away to greet us and brought us water. She was super friendly and even came back to see if we had questions. Ordering was easy.They had a great drink selection for a small place. We order the fry flight, which was a little small but the fries arefantastic. We also both ordered burgers and they were some of the best we?ve had in the area, top 3 anyway! Great Experience: Our hamburgers and fries were very tasty, cooked perfectly. Tamara was our waitress who had a great... personality and was very accommodating and even helped me buy merchandise. Today we ventured up just 15 minutes north of Ankeny to Huxley, Iowa to try out Flight Bar and Grille for lunch which just... opened last week. What a gem! Perfectly located right off highway 69, (make sure to turn in at Fareway so you don?t miss it!)they serve excellent bar and grille menu items and also have golf simulators in a separate part of the restaurant! Right whenwe walked in, we loved the ambiance. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated and so clean. The staff was friendly andattentive and greeted us right away, and I noticed the owners were both walking around the restaurant the entire time we werethere making sure patrons were satisfied. It is a family-friendly atmosphere, which is important to us with young kids. Onething I loved about our dining experience right when I sat down was that you ordered through your phone with a QR code on thetable ? so much faster than waiting for wait staff! This allowed us to scan the food menu/drink menu quickly and put an order infor drinks right away. But fear not! If QR code ordering isn?t your thing, they?ll gladly provide paper menus, and they havestaff hustling through the restaurant to assure you?re receiving the best service. Now? The food and drinks! YUM. They have 24beers on tap, including your favorite domestics, but also a ton of tastefully chosen Iowa craft beers. My dining partners and Iall ordered different things: a classic burger, the Rueben (special for the weekend!), and the breaded tenderloin. All of usagreed the food was delicious! All items came out quickly and were hot and fresh. All their sauces are homemade in house, andfor a ranch lover like me, that is key. The owners are super involved in the Huxley community and it shows with the décor inthe restaurant, and also some of their menu items which partial proceeds go to the Ballard Education Foundation. I?ve eaten in the restaurant dozens of times but decided to order food online for pickup to take to some local farmers. It... couldn?t have been more straightforward ordering, and the presentation/quality even with ?to-go? containers was top notch. Iwill be utilizing this feature often this winter!
