Waste of money. Ordered two chicken and one pork buns and threw them away. I can deal with the less than pleasant guy at the... counter, but the food was unappealing and bland. Frozen chicken strip on a very dry bun. Union market location Read more

Customer service is terrible. Presentation of food is a 0. The flavor doesn't make up for that. The spicy fried chicken buns'... sesame oil flavor was overwhelming. The spice lacked flavor and provided a little bit of heat. The quality of the chicken ispoor, so the high price and poor service aren't worth the mediocre taste. Read more

I’m a frequent traveler, and I don’t come to DC without visiting Bun’d Up. Its pork belly and beef bulgogi baos are two of... the best menu items I’ve eaten in the city — flavorful but not overpowering, filling but not heavy, spicy but not fiery.Even its “PB&J” — cashew butter, granola, and heavenly banana jam — is tell-your-friends-about-it-the-next-daydelicious. Do yourself a favor, and if you can eat here? Do it. Read more

Used to be my favorite place to eat. Had horrendous service yesterday, arrived the 3 people working there just ignored me for 5... minutes as I stood at the counter. Then one guy told me they were taking an hour break 6-7. I was confused because it was peaktime on a Friday but I left and waited. I return at 7 after waiting an hour and again he ignores me as I stand at the counter. He then rudely tells me to wait longer as he got back from break. I understood and waited. When I ordered he told me oh we’vebeen out of chicken all day. Seems like information he could’ve provided at 6 when I came by! I ordered the tofu and he usedthe rice and sauce from Takorean. It was NOT good. Just dry and flavorless. I was so upset about the poor customer service. Itlooks like they were trying to put people off so they wouldn’t order. Read more

It's hard for me to resist a Bao bun spot, so I wanted to try this one when we were at Union Market. Unfortunately, they were... already sold out of a lot of their buns when we went around 4 for an early dinner. We ended up just trying the PB&J bun. Ithought it was pretty good and it made me wish we had gotten there before they sold out of some of the others. We'll have to goearlier next time! Read more

I think everyone quit at the main location? We went (when it was still open) and the hot water was left on, the aprons were... hanged up, there was still stuff out, but no one was there for like an hour. It was weird—it just seems like whoever wasworking just walked out. Note: food is good though Read more

Bun'd up is nothing to write home about, the food is just alright--not good or great. The prices are a bit high for the quantity... and quality of the buns. All in all, might be worth a visit if you're really craving some baos, but I wouldn't go back here. Read more

I was debating between 3 or 4 stars. The spicy fried chicken bao was decent, it had some good flavor but could have used more... spice. On the other hand, the fried tofu bao lacked salt and spice completely. It didn’t have much sauce to it either, so itwas kinda dry. I’m wondering if their other baos are better. Read more
