While travelling in Hyde Park, we decided to visit the Eveready Diner. Clearly, it is a local favourite as it was bustling in... the late afternoon. We decided to sit at the counter and watch all of the action as it is a very busy kitchen. We enjoyed all ofthe food especially the Reuben. Five stars is not enough to say how good the food was here and the service was outstanding! We live in Maryland but would... happily drive back up to try more things on the menu!! So amazing so tasty so outstanding!! I can't wait to have a reason to goback up!!! I got the Turkey dinner and my wife got the chicken marsala and both were HUGE PORTIONS so come hungry!! Read more
This is a great diner with good food and reasonable prices. A great place to go after a movie at the Roosevelt theater. But... understand that they close at 10 pm at least on weeknights. I had a chicken club with avocado and Chipotle mayonnaise that wasquite good. Fries came with it. My friend had the pork chops with mashed potatoes and vegetables - something I'd never order ata diner but he said it was quite good. The pork chop wasn't dry which is quite a feat! Staff is friendly but they wereobviously in a rush as we came in near to closing time. But will definitely go back again. Read more

Our waitress, Kayla, was super friendly and helpful with the menu. Waiter who brought coffee was also very friendly. Husband got... the pecan pancakes and I got the bananas foster pancakes. Both were delicious! Coffee was good, but not great. Place could use agood scrubbing. Read more
I had the Shrimp fajitas and a bowl of French onion soup to start. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and they give you a generous... amount to go with six tortillas. The soup was pretty good, the best part was the cheese, of course. Being from New York it?shard to find a bad diner, but this one draws a lot of attention. I love their fresh squeezed orange juice and their breakfastoptions range from unique to a dime a dozen type, but it?s all delicious. Great food, great prices, fun atmosphere. Great retro style diner that?s been around for decades. We like to go during ?off times? as it gets busy on the weekends. ... Always great food with very large portions. My son had the chicken tacos and loved them. They don?t have a vegan menu butthere?s a great vegetarian option, it?s a vegetarian bean burger and it was delicious. Great staff always pleasant and hardworking, be sure to give them a big tip. Read more
Local staple. Food is always fast, consistent and tasty. Unfortunately our service was not the best our last visit. Waitress was... abrasive and just rubbed my guest the wrong way. We are not the type to get rubbed the wrong way so I am sure you are alreadyaware. I will definitely return and update. Thank you for a delicious Friday afternoon breakfast. Read more
