Changed to 5 stars since I can't do 4.5. We go here for breakfast on the weekends a lot. They are usually busy but still very... attentive and do not have to wait long. Good family environment. The veteran waitstaff are always friendly and provide greatservice. The newer ones are still lacking a bit but definitely getting better. The food is prepared well and better than youwill find at most chains in my opinion, not the best ever but good. Pricing is good for the large portions you get. Recommendedbreakfast place for sure. We love this place! Service was friendly and timely. Shayna, cooked our meals with passion to perfection...the hamburger was... cooked right, juicy and neatly plated. The Summer salad was wonderful and very festive. Shayna is also a team player, and showsrespect to her peers. She even brought our foods to us and politely visits while we enjoy our meals. To start, I want to say that [our local] Black Bear Diner has always been very accommodating to us. We are a weekly group of... 10-20 people (on average) who never have a problem getting in and seated within a decent amount of time - if notimmediately. Second, the food is very good and priced extremely well for what you get. The ONLY reason why I didn't give theplace 5 stars is because it is, after all, a chain, and the food has a bit of that quality to it. But even most of all, theyalways overcook or burn my waffles. Last but absolutely not least is the service. Everyone there has been so great andattentive, but one in particular stands out. Cheyenne is nothing short of amazing. I was a server myself, and never in my lifehave I ever seen anyone hustle and work harder to take care of her tables than she does. Not only that, but in the few timesthat we've been there she has even taken the time to get to know us and our names. I was really dissatisfied. The veggies weren't cooked all the way so they were still a bit hard. The pot roast I ordered was... tough. The hashbrowns my friend ordered were over cooked to the point she couldn't eat them they were so hard. When she askedthe waitress to take them back it took about 20 minutes to get the new ones. Amazing portion sizes for the price. Most meals are 10-11$ each and are perfect to take home to left overs. This time my sweet... potato fries were a little burnt, but all of the other times I?ve been here they were always perfect. James is amazing, you guysdid a great job of picking your servers.
