I attended my company Christmas party this last Thursday (16 attendees, a decently sized party) was busy serving not only our... large party, but also at least 4 other tables. She was BUSY doing her best . That being said, she forgot at least 2 drinks forour party, and 1 dish as well. Let me be clear here, I don't think she's the one to blame, I blame restaurant management forlack of staffing (20%), and my companies management for waiting till the last minute to book a large reservation (80%). Café Sabor is a great option for Mexican in Idaho Falls. The service is up to standard and the food it tasty and sometimes... slow. I love their street tacos. Don?t get full on chips and salsa while you wait! Read more

We dined in on a weekend. There wasn?t much of a wait. However, once we were seated, no one came by our table for about 12... minutes. Not even to ask us what we want to drink. Even when someone came by, it was the one of the greeters, asking if we havebeen attended to yet. Our actual waitress came by afterwards, but seemed a little zoned out. The only thing she actually did wasbring us the receipt and take it. She may?ve been having a bad day, which I get it. But she definitely didn?t want to be there. The food was brought out by another person. We got the pollo Durango and shrimp enchiladas. The pollo Durango was amazing andvery flavorful, hints of lime and the sauce was very tasty. The shrimp enchiladas were pitiful. There was maybe two and halfshrimps in each enchilada and the tortilla shell was not hot. I imagine they just placed the shrimp and tomato mixture on afresh out of the fridge tortilla, rolled it, and placed it on the plate. Not warm or hot, but cool to room temperature. Strange. There wasn?t much enchilada sauce either. It wasn?t what I imagined the shrimp enchiladas would be like, I don?t recommend themat all. We also got the free spinach and cheese dip, it?s not my thing but it was pleasant. The complementary chips and salsawas okay. I really like the chips, the salsa wasn?t my favorite. Overall, I probably wouldn?t come back, but my wife liked it sowe will make a return trip. I?ll have to pick something better that next time. Read more

First the good, we were at the hotel next door and were taking food to our room. The food was decent and portions were generous.... Good food quality earned the 3 stars. I had 3 item combo, 1 shredded beef taco and two sweet pork enchiladas with rice andrefried beans. Wife had mango shrimp fajita and we shared fresh guac/salsa and chips. My enchiladas were good with plenty ofmelted cheese and sauce. The sweet pork was too sweet for me, seemed pretty heavy on the cinnamon ! That said it was tender andplentiful. The beef taco was as well plentiful and tasty, I prefer cabbage (ideally pickled) to lettuce on any taco. Thesweetness from the enchiladas bled into the otherwise good refried beans. My wife's mango shrimp were pronounced "good", 9largish shrimp, sauce flavorful but void of any actual mango pieces (none were promised). The guac was very chunky, tons ofchips and salsa, very good. Now the rest, 0 stars. The young girl at the counter taking our order was quite sweet and polite.Thetraining that she had received (likely none) was woefully inadequate. She tried hard and with a very good attitude, but did notknow the answer to most questions. Our order took 30+ minutes and the restaurant only had 2-3 tables going at the time. We werecharged a $4 "packaging fee" for take out, another misc $1.06 fee for something (can't remember )? We received no cutlery ornapkins in the bag . We discovered this when we got back to the room. The extra charges and the lack of attention to the packingof the order is enough to declare that we would not return. oh, we had a free dessert coupon from the hotel next door, we gotthe fried ice cream and it was the best item we had, nice crust, lots of chocolate and caramel sauces and whipped cream. If youare going, save room. There was a Cafe Rio and a Five guys in the same retail complex, we would choose one of them next time. Read more

To start out with the burrito was disgusting. It was in water up to the edge of the plate and the texture was so moist that is... was gross. The burrito did not have any seasoning and the sweet pork was not very sweet. Now, the service was not very good.Theythey took forever to get my order and then she won't listen to how I want it. I don't like guacamole. It was like she was tryingto make me upset with her. Read more

Hubby and I both enjoyed our meals--combo platters--very much. Service was prompt and competent. Prices certainly seemed within... reason in these crazy times. Will definitely be adding this restaurant to our rotation for eating out. Read more

Never been to this place before. Basic Americanized Mexican food. Not bad flavor be definitely meant for the elderly pallet.... Everything was fine. Waiter Jayden did a great job. Here?s the reason for the one star review and the reason I will not return. Not a single restaurant in the town is charging any surcharges because we are not a resort town. Any restaurant that decidesto add random and unexplainable surcharges to you bill will no longer get my money. I encourage all their waitstaff to quit andmove to a restaurant that treat their clients better. They will make more money because that 3% could go to them. Read more
