I wasn't pleased with my Pork Ribeye. It had all the makings of a great meal but I was served a rare Pork Ribeye when I ordered... Med. well. By the time it came back out my party was finished with their meals. The part missing was from my initial test cut soI didn't even get a bite. I guess I'll go down the street to Bee's Knees and grab some spectacular food instead. Not what I wasexpecting at all after a long day on the motorcycle and sidecar. This is our first time in Idaho Falls. We got there around 6 on a Saturday night and only had to wait about 10 mins for a table.... The bread was good that they first brought out, along with my huckleberry tea. I got the coconut shrimp and it was delicious andI’m pretty picky on my shrimp. Husband got a sirloin and he was pleased with it. My kid devoured his pasta and fries! Theservice speed was good and our server was very attentive and friendly. It is a little pricey but it was worth it! I have nocomplaints! I would definitely recommend this place if you are in town. Read more

We had dinner at Sandpiper on Tues, Jul 26. My husband had the trout and I had grilled salmon. Both dishes were excellent. We... sat on the patio, and enjoyed the warm evening. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. I'm not sure where the negativereviews are coming from - there were clearly plenty of waitstaff, all keeping their tables happy, and the food was very good. Read more
I went for dinner around 7pm. Service and drinks were good! My go to dish is the blackend tuna with a side of alfredo. The tuna... was outstanding, but the pasta was lack-luster. The taste at first was fine, but HOLY NUTMEG. It tasted like the whole spicecontainer fell into it, with it being so strong the other guests at my table noticed it. I brought it to my server's attention,which she agreed and had the cooks remake it. The second round was better, but the aftertaste of the nutmeg still made me sendit back. *skip to the bottom for dining recommendations * The sandpiper is probably the finest dining you can experience in Idaho falls.... The sandpiper makes amazing seafood, and steaks with great sides and a great atmosphere. I noticed a lot of people complainedabout the wait time it took to get their food. You have to remember this is fine dining where the food is made and cooked toorder! This is not fast food or a chain like Texas road house. They spend a lot of time prepping the food they serve beforeopening for dinner service, and they run out of food because it’s made each day. With that out of the way let’s talk aboutthe food. My wife and I visited for our second wedding anniversary and we’re not disappointed!! I got the rack of lamb whichwas cooked perfectly (med rare) and tasted absolutely delicious. The clam chowder is incredible!! My wife got the surf and turfwith the halibut which she highly recommends. Overall the sandpiper is a great spot for some unique delicious food with a greatatmosphere. It’s a bit expensive but you get what you pay for! What we loved: Rack of lamb (med rare) Steak Halibut Clamchowder The house salad Huckleberry lemonade Spinach artichoke dip What was “meh” Cheese cake left a lot to be desired forthe price. Read more
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. It was packed so it was enjoyably paced and not rushed or too slow. I splurged and... got a 1/2 lb of king crab and it was cooked really well and tasted fresh, plus they split the legs for me ](winning). Steak wascooked correctly and tender for a sirloin.
