Stopped here for lunch and I was very disappointed. Ordered 1 roast beef sandwich and a veggie sandwich. (Which comes with... avocado.) I told the man to put my avocado on the rb as I don't like avocado. He said he can't do that. Why?? I had to pay extrafor it. All the while the man kept touching his earring and face. I showed up shortly after they closed, but the lady working was super nice and still was willing to make me a sandwich to go.... The food was amazing and some of the best customer service I have received all around. I would definitely come back here againif in the area. Read more
Not many options for food within the city limits of Independence but this Port of Subs is pretty solid. Food was fresh, place... was clean and the service was great. Some small tables to sit inside and a nice booth. Also outdoor seating if it?s decentweather outside. Read more

Stopped to get gas and noticed a Port of Subs in the same building (yes, we bought food at a gas station). First of all the lady... working alone was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered two $10.99 sandwiches and watched as she sliced all of our meats andcheeses right then and there. She recommended a roll with Rosemary and a cheese baked in it and man she was spot on! It was aItalian sandwich with salami, capicola and I don't know what else (my wife ordered for me). It didn't take her long to buildthem up and cut them in half. The place is clean, nothing fancy but they make up for it with quality food and good prices. Theyoffer at least three sizes of sandwiches. Anyway we brought them back to our RV and we each ate one half of the sandwich and itwas more than enough of a meal. We brought the other halves back home and had them for dinner. I wish I could remember her namebut she was working Saturday afternoon the 22nd of October. We will be making that a regular stop from now on when we go to theEastern Sierras.
