We are new to the area and I really wanted BBq for dinner used delivery and had a brisket basket delivered. It was horrible all... dried out and hard. Edges burnt so bad the pieces were unedible. The beans tasted like I had just opened a can of pork n beansno flavor and the fries were cold as well. I called restaurant and asked them to remake I wld get delivery to re-deliver whendelivery tried they then said closed to delivery orders after they told me on the phone they wld remake it. But the deliveryppl called and got another person to go pick it up when I got the new order it was some better on the moistness but the outerpart of the meat was still burnt black it was not good. I took off the burnt parts and barely had 2 bites of each slice of meatnot worth what I paid for it. Not to mention it took an hour or more to get it the 2nd time. Almost an hour the 1st time. So huge yet intimate! Love the fireplace love the patio love the upstairs love the private rooms you can book. Food was awesome.... A different Dickey's setup but an awesome place! Folks were friendly and you gotta go here and take some memorable photos Read more
Good food, but the service is terrible! The last several times we have been there sauces and ice cream were smeared everywhere,... trash can is gross, and several items needed to be refilled. However, all employees just stand around eating and/or talkinginstead of cleaning and refilling. When I would ask for an item that needed refilling they would grumble and act like it was animposition. Read more
Excellent BBQ food with refillable drinks. My 6-rib platter was more than I could handle, wisely brought a young man along to... help! Root beer float for dessert, or a vanilla cone or bowl. Worth repeating! Read more
I tried the pork and sausage platter. Both meats were good, but the side's not so much. The jalapeño beans just tasted like... Chilli powder and black pepper with no jalapeño flavor. The bread was so dense it wasn't edible. The potato salad was good. Read more
A bit understaffed or disorganized (delivering partial orders to the table because the fryer was backed up), but the food is... great and the interior is amazing! The homemade food--especially the barbecue--is very well executed, though unfortunately thefried items seem to be frozen. Five distinct seating areas: bar, main, upstairs, al fresco and a small private room. Upstairsarea and small room are available to reserve for business or casual purposes. I did not inquire about event prices. Definitelyrecommend, and please extend some courtesy to the hopefully temporary restrictions placed upon their business model (built forself-service drinks, sauce, ice cream, etc.). Read more
Even when this is just a chain or franchise, it is very good. Food is good and service was great. The location is very cool and... right in the heart of Independence. The whole restaurant is very clean and trendy. Read more
