A charming locally owned Italian eatery along the Independence Square. Pasta cooked precisely al dente, pesto sauce was... perfectly spiced, fettuccine carbonara had a wonderful, pancetta-rich Alfredo sauce, and the salmon-topped salad featured nicelyseared yet moist salmon with a zesty dressing. Nice portions for the price. Great atmosphere. Definately on the list to come back to. We really enjoyed the roasted tomato... bruschetta (missed picture on that one). The Fettuccine Carbonara was delicious per my roommate and the pancetta was very crispyand really made the dish for her. The Penne al Pesto was what would be expected for a Basil pesto pasta - simple and verydelicious, not too oily like some pestos can be. Our companion had the Mushroom Lovers pasta which definatley met thatexpectation! Lots of nicely chopped mushrooms so it made it easy to eat. Wow! Nicole was a Superb server.. full of historical information about the Square, personable and spot on taking care of our... needs. The food here was just awesome. The Mushroom lover’s pasta was hot and creamy and delicious. The parmigiana sandwichwas well prepared and beautiful to look at. And the desserts.. omg I should have said no when Nicole asked but man I’m glad Ididn’t. The Citrus cake and cannoli egg rolls were a perfect ending to what was a great visit to this locally owned Italiancafe. Read more
Perfect. The entire staff was pleasant and welcoming. The host was cheerful and was active (probably the busser too?). Food... was great. Fries are crispy and hot. Parmesan crisp on the Cesar was great and the roasted tomatoes were awesome. Everyoneenjoyed their entrees. Maybe next time we'll try the pasta ????! Dessert Cannolis are spectacular! Read more
Tried the calamari and fell in love, the seasoning in the breading is the best I've ever had. The pasta dishes are easily... shareable and delicious, so you can get away with splitting it. Make a reservation on the weekends for a table, but the bar wasopen. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Read more
We enjoyed this place as a change of pace. It has a nice atmosphere, and our waiter was attentive to refilling our soda/water.... We enjoyed the food, and appreciated the range in prices. Some dishes are $13 and some are $30. They have lots of side dishoptions and appetizer choices too. Read more
