First of all Minskys on 51st and Main is our family favorite place to eat pizza. I came here for lunch on 291 and was highly... disappointed. We order two pizzas and when I say it was burnt all the way up I mean i posted the pictures in the gallery. Now Iunderstand a mishap or whatever but this was just all the way out of line. I?m angry because it?s like would the person that putthose pizzas in the window and said order up eat what he tried to make us eat. Like I?m so mad that the person just said forgetit take it anyway. Wow! Visited Minsky's for the first time. The Pizza is amazing!!!! We ate there passing through the KC area for a Royals game,... we will for sure be returning. I wish there was a Minsky's near my home! We had a house salad, the ranch dressing is great! Wehad the Jumbo Combo Pizza but substituted Canadian Bacon instead of hamburger. Sooooo good! This Minsky's has that "lived in" vibe where the carpet always seems sticky and the walls a little grimey. They keep it dark so... you don't notice as much while you're inside. They hoots and cackles of teenagers can usually be heard from the kitchen so atleast the staff is having a good time. The food is usually served hot, but I've been here times before where it hasn't been sogreat too. They're "St. Louis" style pizza isnt bad, but they really shouldn't call it that since it bears no resemblance toactual St. Louis style. The servers here tend to be good at forgetting your drinks too. Overall, its not a bad weeknight optionif you're local. Read more
Minsky's Pizza was okay!!! Not the best around but DEFINITELY no where NEAR the worse!!! I would say top 5 in the Independence... area!!! They are on the pricey side!!! The employees were nice and friendly!!! The place seemed clean!!! I wouldn't have gonehere if it wasn't for a fundraiser!!! But again, it was decent pizza!!! Not a regular place on my list though!!! This used to be good food. I love the Philly cheesesteaks, however, picked up an order on Friday. The bread was hard as a rock,... the steak didn't even fill the bun. It was dry and hardly any cheese. There were hardly any fries. I paid 20 bucks, which isoutrageous. Never again.. Read more
Beginning in 2019, Minsky's partners up with Joe's KC BBQ to offer a pizza for a few weeks. We recently had a large delivered... and loved it again. It has slow-smoked Brisket and Burnt Ends, and tender Pulled Pork with Joe?s Kansas City Bar-B-Que Sauce andMozzarella cheese. We had the original crust, but also like the thin crust.
