We were looking for a place that had out door seating and came across Court House Exchange. We were traveling across country... from Florida with our little dog and needed a place where she would be welcomed. Even though they were not serving in the outdoor area they accommodated us! Super awesome staff (yes, talking about you Jodi)! The food was great, my Buffalo Chicken Saladwas very good and my friend said his Court House Exchange burger was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I used to love coming here. We left the previous time about 6 months ago because they had no service staff. This time, food... quality has gone downhill and prices have skyrocketed. Most things are $14-$16. Few customers at prime time dinner. I can'tsee how this place will survive without some changes. Read more

We went a few years ago and it was really good. Went today and things have really seemed to change. They removed many of their... favorites. I ordered their special of the day, fish and chips and there was a pool of grease at the bottom of my plate, when Ipicked up one piece of fish grease poured out! Our waitress was standing at our table watching this happen. I used THREE largenapkins to soak up all the grease from just 1 of the pieces of fish! Very disappointing for $16 Read more

Good food, good fun, good to go! Judge's club, fried pickles, Angry orchard on draft, and good old fashioned prohibition punch!... Tenderloin sandwich is great with sweet potato fries. Not sure the dates on the pictures are correct. The 1933 photo has severalparking meters and window air-conditioning units. Parking meters didn't go into use until 1935 in Oklahoma? So maybe theprohibition punch had something to do with it? Still a cool place in Independence. Enjoy! Read more

My review from 2 years ago was 5-stars but things have certainly changed here. They are still operating under their ?COVID-19... menu? which means very limited choices, paper menus, plastic cups, paper napkins, no condiments on the tables, no salad bar, andno desserts in the dessert cabinet. ?- Not only this, but their prices have gone up quite a bit. The chicken fried steak &chicken fried chicken prices are now $15.99 each. See attached pics. The sweet potato fries are frozen/bagged. The best part ofthis meal and the reason I?m giving them 3 stars is because their green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy were good. It?s ashame to see a place with so much potential fail because of laziness and greed. Read more
