We waited a solid 10 minutes at the front to get seated despite the restaurant being half empty. There were multiple servers and... bartenders that saw us but not one person said "we'll be right with you". Once seated, the server took an additional 15 min tocome to the table to get our drink order. We put in a food order of clams, oysters, kids food and drinks that took at least 45minutes to come out. The food is edible yet not enjoyable. Not one apology or excuse for the wait. Huge disappointment! We arevery frugal with going out to eat considering that we live on a fixed income. It was our first time eating there for my mom n dad and I living in Merritt Island n all. We went with a friend of the family... who lives down south and recommended it. I really liked it! My folks and our friend said they thought it was excellent also andbetter then some places around here sometimes. Good sized portions, so delicious! and friendly service. Well, the service was horribly slow. The place was packed. The kitchen couldn't keep up; bar couldn't keep up. Miserable... atmosphere, very loud to the point you can't even hold a conversation. Waitress/waiters shouldn't have to clear tables, too,when its that busy, they had no time to take care of their customers. The manager didn't pitch in and help just stood therewatching!! What appetizers we had were good. I have no idea about the rest; it took too long, so we left. Only consolation waswe had a beautiful aquarium to stare at. Dinner was awesome as always. But do have a complaint with the wait. Granted we were a group of 9. That was behind a group of... 12 and 8. Waited an hour half to be seated. But everyone was happy with their meal and service. Read more
November, 2021. Enjoyed another great meal! Gabby, thank you for your recommendations! We had delicious boneless wings (which... Abby informed us are made from thigh meat - which is why they are so meaty), blackened grouper dinner and gumbo. YUM!!! We arecoming back to enjoy the NFL Sunday ticket. Stay tuned for more photos! The bowl is a must try. We also had some wings for an app and they were delish! Wish I could use a 4.5 rating. Gaylan(bartender - apologies if spelled wrong) is fantastic! Food was good but nothing amazing. Asked for Grouper heavy blackened -it was barely blackened and tots were over cooked and luke warm. Mahi BLT did not have much flavor but fries were hot and good. What a shame! This place WAS the best seafood in the area. The quality has since gone down hill :( So the servers should not... tell the customers they have never shucked an oyster. We ordered a dozen oysters and they took quite a long time. To find outthe waitresses have to shuck the oysters. Unfortunately if you don't do it right the customer gets a lot of shell pieces withthe oysters. I took quite a bit out of my mouth. I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich with coleslaw. Hubby got the groupersandwich with fries. The waitress takes your order and a runner brings the order. Yeah she brought our meals to the WRONGtable. She set both down at that table and the lady was touching "my" plate wondering what it was. She picked the plate up andhanded it back. The runner then tried to bring them to our table and set them in front of us. I watched it since we weresitting at the next table over. I refused the meals as they were touched by other customers. SERIOUSLY I should NOT have hadto tell her how wrong that was. The man at that table kept coughing and wiping his nose. I offered to have the manager stopby and talk to me. She said it wasn't necessary. The waitress came to the table and apologized and said new meals were beingmade. My tuna was thin strips. It used to be an actual tuna steak. My hubby's fish was over cooked and not served with tartersauce. The waitress acted like it was an add on to the meal. But she went to get some. Absolutely love this place! We come here every time we're in town. Oyster Rockefeller is phenomenal. I can't say this enough,... if you want a cool little local spot to get some of the best seafood in this area and have great service them come tobunkys! Everything is so yummy!
