Amazing food and friendly service. Definitely make a reservation as other reviews suggest. They did graciously accommodate us at... the bar as a walk in, but they were full up on a Friday evening. The fresh Cobia with the onion crust was fantastic with thesides of grits and vegetables done perfectly. Hubby had mashed potatoes which were also perfectly executed. The owner actuallyworks beside her staff and all of them had great customer oriented attitudes. I highly recommend this place if you are in thearea. Read more

Best dining experience I’ve ever had in Melbourne. I spent most of my life in the keys so had high expectations. The Seafood... here was so fresh. The food was unbelievable. Great atmosphere and great staff. The owner John treated us like family and ourserver Ethan was outstanding. Will be back for sure! Read more

Fantastic Herb Crusted Almaco Jack, and Onion Crusted Grouper. Sorry that I nibbled on the Grouper before taking my picture, but... I like eating more than taking pictures. Our server Miles was a wealth of information which helped us make good choices from themenu. We hope you will enjoy your dinner there, it was top notch for us. Read more

Wow… just, WOW!! From the service to the food, Islands Fish Grill is wonderful. My server, Alline, was a joy and her... recommendation of the onion crusted grouper with fried spinach and house grits was absolutely superb!! Go! Now! Enjoy! Read more

Islands Fish Grill has the freshest seafood around! We came here the first time a few years ago based on a recommendation from... the bartender at our hotel, and now we are loyal patrons. We make a reservation each time we're in town. The staff treats uslike family, and you can't beat the quality of the food. We also like that they showcase local art (that you can purchase; andwe have!) on the walls. You can tell this restaurant is really committed to being a part of the local community. Our favoritedish to order is jerk-seasoned fresh catch of the day with the creamy dill sauce, mashed potatoes, and fried spinach. The friedspinach is so good, you might just end up ordering a second one for dessert. This is also a great spot for gluten free dining. Plenty of fresh, homemade options. My fiance' ventured off our usual order last night and got a steak, and said it was one ofthe best steaks he's had, and even better than our local famous steakhouse back home. There's something for everyone here. We're sure the staff will help you make a delicious selection. Go!! Read more

This is a small restaurant with a fixed number of meal portions per evening. One of the few restaurants in the Melbourne area to... get fresh fish. Use Open Table to book your reservation in advance to secure a table. If you try to get a table on a Saturdayevening, you may be turned away or offered to wait for a seat at the bar. Everything is prepared that day or evening, no (few)substitutions. The selections are delicious. Even if you normally do not like an item, try it! You may be pleasantly surprised!! The hostess (owner?) is friendly and delightful. The servers aim to please. They do not have a liquor license, so yourbeverage selection is beer or wine, but they have a broad selection of both. The front dining area has interesting artwork witha nautical theme. The rear dining room ("wine cellar") has a few whimsical decorations and wine racks along the front and rearwalls. Being small, expect a noisy din when the restaurant is full. For a quieter experience, I suggest a week night, when itis not as busy. Read more

Another meal at Islands Fish Grill, another step closer to heaven. In this world, there's death, loss, illness, and... tragedy. But as I bit into my onion crusted Tilefish, all of that - just for a moment - completely disappeared. If I had anickel for every time I've left this establishment COMPLETELY satisfied, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but I've onlybeen there 2 times. Islands Fish Grill. They don't just sell fish. They sell a dream. They sell the comfort of a mother'stouch, the support of a father's guiding hand. Most importantly, they sell happiness. When you walk into this fineestablishment, you're not just at a restaurant. You're home. Read more

One of those places you go where the only topic of conversation is how good the food is. Things I thought I didn’t like I did... here. You literally can’t get anything bad. Best scallops I’ve ever had- hands down. Grits blew the doors off all othergrits and all the seafood was cooked perfectly. I don’t even know how you make mousse taste that good and there’s some sortof magic going on with the key lime pie that is a top secret. When we heard the dessert list the table had to split one ofeverything just to try it all because dinner was so good. The service was fast and amazing but no rush and a great vibe. Read more
