Excellent Indian food and the wait staff was very professional and friendly. Coconut rice was awesome.
We reached the restaurant at 8:45pm nearly 75 minutes early from closing and didn't allow to dine in. Even we confirmed with the... restaurant staff by calling them at 6:00pm that do we have to make reservation or not or even we allowed to dine in and staffsaid yess. This was very bad gesture from staff as we confirmed with them about closing of kitchen and dine in. We evenmentioned that we drove 1 hour to reach their but staff was least interested. We went there on the day of the Christmas to have breakfast. Its a Punjabi restaurant with a pool table. We ordered parathas,... makhani naans with channa and egg bhurji. Tea to complement the food. The restaurant is good and the food is ok . The staff wasnice and friendly. Read more
This place is absolutely fantastic. Number one I am a truck driver so it is easy to get into with the truck. The problem with... most Indian restaurants is their menus are for Indian people, it just gives you the name of what the dish is named and not whatthe dish has in it or how it is prepared,then you have to Google it and figure out what you're ordering. This place has the dishand the description of what the dish is on a nice big menu; very easy for non-indian people to understand what they areordering. The food itself was absolutely delicious, very spicy but not hot spicy, my Goat Curry was not hot at all , just allthe different spices and herbs and flavours involved. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to try Indian food orperhaps has tried to get Indian food before but was intimidated by the menu. My Experience was Great!!! It's like Oasis for Indian Food. This place is in operation from last 7 years; They Also have 4... Motels Rooms Also. They also let you order ahead just in case you are on the Go. Washroom were Clean. Nice and quiet Ambiancewith glimpse of Punjabi culture. This place also have Game room with pool table, Mini casino. Just a 20 mins drive from Katepwa beach. Surprisingly good food for a small town dhaba style restaurant. Enjoyed their Tea and... fish pakoda very much!! Due to staff shortage they are serving on disposable plates and cutlery which is fine with us but thesize of dinner plates are very small which can be improved. They also have a pool table and a slot machine which are welcomingadditions for entertainment of the customers. Different dishes have almost same gravy texture and taste with very minimaldifferences, this I feel needs a bit improvement as well.. Overall, I will recommend this place if you are stopping over onyour way or if you are visiting Katepwa beach. We where staying at the campsite nearby on our RV trip to NS. Don?t be fooled by the outdoor decor, The inside is spotless with... a full bar. Reason for the 5 stars, the food was absolutely mind blowing. We are used to great Indian food living in Vancouverand this is equally or maybe even better. Super nice folks running the place.
