Rating: Kudos The wife and I literally found this place looking for someplace new to eat. We went for breakfast and had a great... time. They had indoor and outdoor seating though only outdoor was available which was great. The breeze off the sea and the coolmorning air made the experience that much better. We got breakfast with the wife getting avocado toast and me the typical eggsand 3 meat combo. We didn't order any but they offered mimosas which looked great. Another table loaded up on them which theyseemed to enjoy. Prices were VERY nice. The food was great and we plan to return. Read more

We had all you can eat fish and chips. We were very happy, I eat fish 1-2 times per year- not my favorite. These people do it... right, the fish was very good, but the breading was awesome. I couldn't stop eating it. If fish tasted like this, I would eat itall the time. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Read more

Love the lunch menu for $9.95. I had 10 grilled shrimp on a skewer. It was grilled to perfection. You get your choice of 2... sides. I had a salad and baked potato. We spent the afternoon enjoying the live music and dancing. The frosting on the cakewas being able to walk across the street and see a magnificent sunset. Read more

This cute little place was directly across from our vacation condo. We heard good things from the locals, so we checked it out.... The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the decorations and string lights make this place so fun! We went out to the patio, where we watched and heard live music all evening. It?s definitely an older crowd type of place, but our group of 8 still had afun time. They were very accommodating to our large group and service was pretty good. Overall I was not impressed with themenu. The menu was quite pricey and they don?t have their drink prices listed at all. We ordered the mozzarella sticks(mediocre), a BBQ bacon cheese burger (good) and the all you can eat fish fry (good). Drinks were really good and came outquick! We did have one issue which rubbed us the wrong way. We ordered 1 mermaid martini and 2 key lime martinis. Uponreceiving the bill, we had been charged for 3 key lime martinis and the mermaid martini. We nicely mentioned it to the serverthat we only had two key limes and she abruptly said ?no you had 3?. We then said no we only had 3 drinks total and we are stilldrinking the second one. She then just walked away and fixed the check. So everything was made right, but the situation was alittle prickly. All in all, we spent $77 before tip (myself and my boyfriend), but the group as a whole, totaled more than$300. We had a great time with family and the atmosphere was great. But I honestly don?t think I?d come back and I didn?t thinkthe food was worth what we paid. Read more

For what this is - a local bar/restaurant with live music - J.D.'s hits it out of the ballpark. First off, the menu is varied... with lots of great choices - which, even knowing the place had good reviews surprised me wonderfully! I had the broiled grouper(which you could also get fried, grilled or blackened) and it was awesome, with a tasty topping (light garlic and some otherspices). Entrees were priced from about $13-$40 and - to me, after ordering and eating - seemed fairly priced. They also haveapps, salads, sandwiches, etc. Our server, BTW, was excellent - an older man who was very attentive and helpful. Although wedidn't order alcohol, they had ample offerings. As for live music, there was a piano bar with a guy playing oldies (music ofthe 70's & 80's) inside, and a live duo playing a little more contemporary (but not much), party music in their outdoor diningarea. Both sounded good and had appreciative "fans". We were there on a Sunday night. It wasn't crowded at all, and the patronsall seemed to be in their 30's and up....it was an older crowd (though they all seemed to be having a good time). I'd say thecrowd was at least as much loyal, local patrons as tourists. If you're looking for a nice place to go - fairly priced goodfood, with live music, a comfortable, fun (not loud and wild) atmosphere, with great service - I heartily recommend J.D.'sRestaurant.
