I was overhearing a few people at another restaurant brag about this hidden gem on gulf blvd on Indian Rocks Beach. TJ'S Italian... Cafe. The ambiance was so relaxing as the classics from Frank Sinatra played, the olde world decor inside paired with aplantation styled outside patio was a nice change from the beach surf type tiki huts. I ordered Veal Piccata which I usuallyorder over linguini (optional). I ordered creamy whipped potatoes and the steamed cabbage medley of carrots, broccoli, onion. The Veal was basking in lemon wine caper sauce, which complimented the veggies and potatoes. I had a white Reisling wineto accompany my meal which arrived hot! That alone speaks volumes. The cream on the top for me was the limoncello cake that wasas light and airy as the cappachino I ordered to complete this special treat. I highly recommend going off the beaten touristtrap and patronizing this local favorite. The servers were all hands on with big smiles as they presented the various tableswith a feast. I will definitely make this a regular spot to bring visitors, family and friends. 5 stars Read more

Let's play a game...what's missing in this picture?Superb location. Classy looking establishment. Food was good. Neither one of... us got what we ordered though. Ate it anyways because they got slammed as soon as we were seated and it was a bit of a s**tshow. Salad arrived promptly. Cutlery showed up 30 minutes later... Prosecco got to the table after promoted with the secondbottle of San Pellegrino. Dared not order dessert. Denton was quite generic anyhow. Large parties take precedence here. Bewarned couples. Great wine selection, amazing food. My boyfriend, who is very picky with his clams, had spaghetti and clams with white sauce,... and they did not disappoint. I had Kim's favorite white pizza, and OMG ???? BEST pizza. Fragrant garlic, fresh chunks ofricotta, spinach, chicken, and I added meatballs. It was amazing. Read more

I had high expectations. The Stromboli was good, albeit pretty greasy. But it was nice and full with steak. They did seem to... skimp on cheese on everything. I wonder if they were running low. The photos we'd seen were not this, especially the Margherita, which is traditionally made with fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. I couldn't tell if there were mushy tomatoes or justsquirts of a strong marinara randomly around the pizza. All our pizzas were high in oil and low on cheese. The shrimp wasalright, but didn't have anything much for sauce ( the description said white pizza, not completely no sauce red, white orotherwise). The garlic bread had very strong pieces of garlic (see photo) and again, lots of oil. All in all, looking fortraditional pizza that I get among Italians in Pennsylvania, this fell pretty short. But it was edible and was fine. Read more
