Great food & excellent service. Most Indian restaurants you go to typically tone down the spice level to appease a wider... palate. I did not get that impression here. The food taste like it was cooked for the chef?s family. The price is slightlyhigher than typical Indian restaurant, and be warned ?Hot? is Indian-Hot, not American-hot. Read more

One of the best Indian restaurant in Downtown area. My experience with the food for first two time ( A year ago) wasn?t good but... last time ( A week ago) was mind blowing. Was very skeptical but the taste was delicious. Presentation is always good but thetaste, varieties, flavors and service were best. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian cuisine. Vegetarianoptions were amazing. Parking can be challenging during busy hours otherwise no issue. Amanuenses is good. Read more

don't give most Indian places in Indiana the time of day, but Aroma was a surprising departure. There is friendly staff, good... service, and seating options inside and outside. I tried the kaidai with lamb. The lamb was well prepared. The "hot" wasflavourful and hot - not just hot for the sake of being hot. The garlic naan was worth getting on the side. Read more

Good ambience and decent service. The food was tasty and plated really well. Plenty of parking spots near the restaurant. PS:... They add a 15% tip automatically on your bill. Read more

Ambience - lovely live kitchen ambience, nothing over the top. Price - Not too pricy, worth a visit. Food - Dal Bukhara is a... must have, comes pretty close in taste to what I get back home in India. Curries - Really tasty curries especially ghee roastgoat curry and butter chicken. The dinner should be ended with their speciality dessert called Orange pudding. Absolutelydelicious. The quantity for the appetizers could improve as it was too less in portion. Read more

I don't know enough about Northern Indian cuisine to judge authenticity, but it is undoubtedly tasty and I have it on good... authority that the cooking style and flavors are indeed true to form. I was told by the wait staff that the meat is halal, butothers should verify as I could find no signage in the downtown location nor any claims online (plus, there is a bar in theback). The vegetarian dishes were good enough I'm not sure it will make a huge difference for me, but would love to be able toexplore the menu more broadly! Read more

This is a gold star of all restaurants combined in Midwest. Food prepared is matching to authentic Indian standards. Really you... cannot go wrong in ordering any of the dishes. Servers are friendly and warm. We ordered vegetarian items like dahi kababs, peanut kofta, paneer pasanda and kashmiri dum aloo. All three items had unique flavoring, preparation and taste. Go for spicy ifyou like your food hot. I chose medium spicy and it was on low end of spice level. Place is highly recommended and we hope theyopen in Chicago soon Read more

This was my first time dining in at Aroma. I have ordered takeout here on three separate occasions. The first two times the... food was absolutely amazing and then the third time it was horrible. I knew what it was supposed to taste like because we hadordered from there on two previous occasions, but we were already home so there was nothing I could do. Honestly we didn?t comeback for for about two months because I didn?t know which version we were going to get. I was pleased that on this visit thefood was to the standard that I expected. They do a great job on food presentation (see pictures), the plates are very nicetoo. While dining there we were captivated by the dishes other people had ordered. Every time food was brought out to anothertable we had to look over to see what it was. I think I saw Tandoori Chicken. It looked really good. I may have to try it thenext time I come. Read more
