Since B&N stepped up their game and started stocking independent publishers and books that are popular on social media there's a... really diverse and good selection here. They have not made the mistake that most book stores are making where half of the storeis anything but books. Whatever buying method they are using now has made finding a good book here easy and browsing a pleasantexperience. The staff is always helpful, but not pushy and don't hover. Read more
Lots of good magazines. Open till 9pm on Monday. Has a cafe for coffee. Easy parking.
My husband and I came in to pick up one book I ordered, and I left with $150 in additional books! I live right by Avon, close... to the Plainfield store, but this is my favorite BN location to go to. It's well stocked and a nice store. But I really want tosay Emma is so helpful. I rarely write reviews, much less about specific employees, but I'm so grateful. She has great knowledgeof what's coming out and on-point recommendations, but also let me know all the store promotions - this is how I ended up with abushel of books when I came in to pick up one. And I couldn't be happier! Huge thanks to her. She's helped me on multiple visitsand always goes the extra mile (like checking the back - even multiple times for different books - and checking other stores),which means I get to leave with the books I came to find (usually more than just those, actually), grinning ear to ear. Also,I'm so glad this store stocks light novels and shojo manga / graphic novels. Manga and light novels targeted towards women aregetting increasingly scarce at other stores, but I always feel appreciated as a reader and a book buyer when I come here. Always a pleasure visiting this Barnes and Noble. Everything is laid out perfectly, easy to find, and the staff are top notch!... Always friendly and always very accommodating. I have asked for special orders on more than one occasion and they have been ableto procure whatever book I was looking for. And it is always a nice place to sit quietly in the Cafe for a drink or to read fora bit. Read more

A very nice book store with a great layout and helpful staff. There are plenty of comfortable areas to sit and explore the... options and the cafe is large and comfortable as well.
