Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. It was pretty dead, so got seated straight away. Got a house beer, None the Wiser IPA. ... Decent. Respectable. Nothing fancy, but it'll get the job done. For the meal, I got the Hoot Mess burger. From thedescription, it was supposed to be all spiced up, but for some reason, it just seemed kinda meh. Not much going on for all thestuff that's on there. Would have been just as happy with a plain cheeseburger. The fries were pretty decent, if a touchover-salted. And they definitely weren't stingy with the fries. In all, it was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way again for it,but I wouldn't be mad if I had it again. Read more
There were 5 of us in the group, and we ordered the queso as an appetizer which was pretty good! However, the other food that... was ordered (fish tacos, chicken tenders, steak tacos and salmon tacos) all lacked any sort of seasoning or flavor. Have always known this restaurant but never got the chance to visit until 2 days ago. We got there around 1:30. To start, the... receptionist was courteous in asking me to wait while she answered the phone and apologized after. Then, our lady, Lisa, wasjust all sunshine and very engaging. Apart from the excellent service and the cleanliness of the place, my blackened salmontacos was excellent! Deliciously done, not dry and was perfect! Will be visiting again soon. Stopped in for lunch while my critical heart-disease infant is in a medical coma at Riley. I needed a distraction, and Blind Owl... was beyond fantastic. My server, Lisa, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made me feel welcome! She did anincredible job, especially considering how many bad afternoon servers I have seen at other places. I ordered the pretzel fishand chips. I cannot do justice in my description of how tender the fish was. It literally melted in my mouth. The pretzel crustwas perfectly fried (you can tell they care about oil quality here!!!), just the right amount of crispy and salty. Tarter saucewas house made and paired very well with the fish, salt, and lemon. Coleslaw and fries were both tasty, but the portion was sobig I couldn't finish anything completely. By far my favorite food at this restaurant! I had a None the Wiser to drink, and itwas also great. Crisp and fruity, while also having a fantastic offset of dank resin taste. Blind Owl Brewery may not changethe world, but they sure made a dent in mine. This wasnt my first trip, and it certainly wont be my last. Lisa even made it apoint to invite me back! Read more
My college friend and I went to the Blind Owl Brewery and we started out in bar area and we felt our waiter we really busy and... we felt rushed in placing our drink orders so we moved to the dining area. The waiter NICK was right off the bat AWESOME! Hiscustomer service was great. He was personable, friendly, and just a pleasure. He turned our experience that we started out having which was not so good to a great experience. The food was great!! We got our food in a timely manor.
