Reviews for Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe in Indianapolis, IN

Completely disappointed. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews, these people probably never ate authentic Turkish food. Plain... white boiled rice with no seasoning. 4 pieces of dry bland chicken. No sauces. Overpriced at $20. In NY, there are over a dozenplaces that taste 10x better and cost less than this place. What a shame to have “Istanbul” on the name of this restaurant.Avoid at all costs Read more

Simply the best Turkish food that I have had! The Bosphorus special is generous in size and enough for two. All the meats are... juicy, well spiced, mouth watering, and with nice textures. Even the stewed carrots and zucchinis are surprisingly tasty. Thebaklava is warm and so crispy, and it is my first time to have Turkish rice pudding, interesting and nice too. Read more

Great food and service is good too. Only watch out is the wait to get a table, which sometimes can run into an hour. The meat... has always been perfectly cooked and the veggies too! Some drinks and appetizers I feel are over priced but overall a greatchoice for dine in ! Read more

Okay the food was great! VERY PRICEY! The tiramisu cake was so great we inhaled it before I got a chance to take a picture of... anything but the empty plate. They only had the dinner menu available on the weekend so it was extra expensive. Other than thatthe Turkish white wine was so good. The hot tea was amazing also. I would like to visit here again. Food is very authentic and delicious. We have tried Turkish food in many places, but this restaurant is by far the best. We... tried their lunch combo which came in big portions and prices are very reasonable. Food came out quickly after we ordered. Theserver and owner were very friendly!!!! Read more

Small housey restaurant over the S East street of Indianapolis downtown. Colorful and well decorated with Turkish tradition.... Stopped by for lunch on a sunny day with my friends. A lot and new cuisine to explore over that afternoon. A combo plate ofappetizer was lovely to start with. The color, fragrance and taste were unique and never tried such for a Turkish -Mediterranean food. Veggie delight of eggplant is amazing with a Turkish coffee. Anybody visiting Indy downtown could stop byfor lunch or dinner to enjoy the appetizing Turkish cuisine in case if you never tried one. Read more
