My boyfriend & I went to Bugambilias last week & we had an amazing experience and really enjoyed it. Our food was fresh and... delicious. What made the experience even more phenomenal was the service. I forget our servers name but he was an absoluteangel. Just a minute or two after bringing chips and salsa to our table, our toddler got a little too excited and knocked thebowl of chips off onto the floor. While I was cleaning them up, our server was already on his way with fresh chips to our tablebefore us even having to ask. He also made a positive comment about my boyfriend and I’s parenting skills, which just made mywhole day. With two adult meals with drinks & a kid’s meal, the total came up to about $40 before tip which i think was veryreasonable. This place was soooooooooo good! I had the mixiote de res and my husband got the tacos árabe with an amazing tomatillo salsa.... The hibiscus margarita was good too! We got there a lil late and I think our server was checked out, but overall good service.Flavors were original and delicious. Highly recommend this Indy gem! Read more
I learned about this woman-owned restaurant on the Indy Local Foodies Facebook group and it is the best Mexican food I've had in... Indianapolis and one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at in the United States (And I live in California!). Cuterestaurant in strip mall in Castleton. Server was extremely friendly and helped explain some of the unique dishes from Puebla,which are featured and specialties of the house (they also have tacos and Tex Mex). I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas withPipian Verde and it was divine. Savory tomatillo, pumpkin and peanut based sauce smothered all over perfectly preparedenchiladas. Next time I want to try the spaghetti!! I also asked for house made hot sauce and she brought me two. Both were sogood and the habanero/serrano hot sauce was mindblowingly good. It's hard to find spicy food here in Indy so the fact it broughttears to my eyes made me very happy. Margaritas are great, too. Fresh squeezed juices and good tequila. The Mezcal margarita isalso good, but I like the classic margaritas better. If I lived here I'd be eating here regularly. Thank you Bugambilias forsuch a wonderful experience. Read more
Delicious food and friendly staff. This restaurant was great. We got good meals for a reasonable price and all of the food was... wonderful. Everything was seasoned well, fresh, and filling. The interior was clean, however some of the blinds on the windowswere damaged, and the bright green and pink walls had some chipped paint. That is just some nitpicky critique of this place, anddoes not speak to how good the food and service was. Absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend checking this place out. Read more
This place is a little different than your normal Mexican restaurant. The chips were warm and the salsa was flavorful.. my... husband had the burrito Grande I had the traditional enchiladas our friend had the chimichanga with chicken. Everything wasdelicious. Had a small guacamole it was very good. Friend had a queso, yummy also. My hubby and I split a pitcher of the housemargarita and it was made perfectly. Our friend had a Paloma and said it was good. Wonderful experience eating here for the first time today. The food was fresh, bright, not overly salted or so smothered in... cheese and sauce you can't really taste anything like many other restaurants. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was verywelcoming. I'm very pleased and will return. Read more
