City BBQ was a huge hit at our recent wedding (10/14/22) with us and with our guests! From start to finish, the catering process... was smooth, easy to navigate (with the help of Ashlee, who was awesome!), and so so so delicious! We had a fall wedding and theBBQ was a perfect fit to our night--couldn't have asked for anything better. The level of professionalism was much appreciated,the staff was so nice, and of course the food was great! I loved not having to worry about set up/clean up or if our guests wereenjoying their meals. I also appreciated the attention to detail--they kindly served us our meal and took it back to our seats,made sure we had enough to eat, and even made us a honeymoon snack to-go bag! I had a work event catered by City BBQ Avon recently and it was delicious. The pulled pork melted in your mouth and the mac and... cheese was so rich and cheesy. So, last night we decided to eat there for the same delicious flavors. Well, we were far off fromanything delicious. We got the Judge's Sampler thinking we could try several different things. The brisket (not burnt ends) wascharred, there was barely any meat on the ribs, the pulled pork was mediocre at best. The best thing was the chicken and wearen't really chicken people. The potato salad was tasty too, but the mac and cheese did not have the same cheesy flavors as wehad previously tasted. Needless to say I don't think we will try it again. Read more
Paid $65 dollars for a two person meal and these were my sides. Tried to get more sauces as they gave me two small sauce... servings which they didn't even put the lids on properly. But I was stopped and told sauces were already in the bag. Tooexpensive for the attitude and mediocre BBQ Read more
I placed an order to go and the girl in the phone was very accommodating and everything was in my order as expected and the... order was ready on time. My son and I both really missed having the vinegar coleslaw as an option and I would love if they wouldoffer a garlic butter option for the Texas toast. I also feel since we are paying a decent price for the meat at least get twopieces of Texas toast for every pound of meat you buy I got two pieces with my full rack of ribs and had to buy two pieces eachfor my pound of brisket and my 2 lb of smoked sausage I felt that was unfair. This was delicious! We enjoyed everything. The lady taking our order was so kind explaining how their menu works and I SO... appreciate this. We visit many restaurants and no one bothers to tell us about the menu and the nuances we may not know. Theyhave a unique soda pop culture. Fun funky atmosphere. First time in. Fast service. Judge Sampler was plenty for 2. Texas toast was different didn't care for it with sesame seeds.... Also very short cut so not really able to make a sandwich from it. Chicken was great. Pulled pork was great. brisket was great.Cornbread was good but lacked butter. Fries were well cooked well seasoned. Ribs were disappointing too chewy, some overcookeddefinitely not fall off the bone. Original sauce was a good flavor with a tiny kick. Will likely be back. Also Grape Nehi. Read more
Phenomenal brisket! Absolutely fork tender, full flavored, well marbled, over a quarter pound served on a fresh fluffy bun. All... the sauces were fantastic, try a little of each. Signature sides like corn puddingwas served steaming hot, well baked, creamy, with corn kernels that popped when you bit into them. ???????? i like corn, it?scorn Perfectly al dente spiral pasta mac&cheese w creamy ceddar sauce was delicious. Scratch red potato salad was refreshing,mayo slaw was fresh & crisp w some shredded carrots. Corn bread mini loaf served with real butter ???????? fluffy, light, worthevery bite.
