The sweet and spicy shrimp is delicious. The service and atmosphere were great. I wasn’t thrilled about the steak and my... fiancé and I both didn’t feel too good after the meal. The steak didn’t have much flavor. I asked for the primed bourbonribeye and the waiter just kept suggesting other items. He then suggested a dry aged tomahawk, to which I asked if it would beprepared the same as the primed bourbon and he said yes. Don’t think it was — no bourbon flavor at all, or much flavor forthat matter. Prepare to be up sold. The waiters must have it drilled into their brains to upsell upsell upsell. We had topolitely decline a giant surf&turf plate a few times. Our server was great, I’m assuming he’s just doing his job, but uppermanagement needs some assistance on the food. Read more
What a wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I came here for dinner this evening for our 5 year anniversary and we were... definitely taken care of. Max was our waiter and he was so kind, attentive and helpful! The food was absolutely delicious. Weshared the calamari which was amazing! We also shared the creamed spinach and Parmesan truffle fries- to die for. I had the cornking crab bisque soup (I believe that’s what it was called) and my boyfriend had the Wagyu ribeye and he loved it! Everythingwas so wonderful. Not only that, but they offered a complimentary dessert (crème brûlée) for our anniversary so we enjoyedthat with some espresso. This was an unexpected and good find. Went to a different restaurant but was close so I ended here. I wasn’t a big fan of the... swordfish because it was a bit dry. Rest of the food was awesome. I met a really nice server here who sings in the Mousetrapwhich I highly recommend too. Nice restaurant, will be back for sure. Read more
The atmosphere and service here was exceptional. I treated my wife to a Valentines Day dinner here and I couldn't be happier... with my choice. The service was top notch and we were extremely pleased with how our waitress took care of us. I do have to saythe initial wait to have our waitress tend to our table was a little long but I will give the benefit of the doubt due to howbusy it was. The drinks were amazing. We tried the old fashioned, mosquitoe (which was my favorite), Manhattan Martini, andanother drink which name I cannot remember. Each drink was wonderful. Starters and soups we tried were the sweet and spicyshrimp which was our favorite along with the King crab and corn bisque. I highly recommend both! For dinner I had the perfectlycooked 16oz Prime NY Strip and I couldn't have asked for better. My wife had loved her choice which was the filet del Mar. I will start the review by acknowledging the fact we are in a nationwide staffing crisis. I would like to believe that is where... the majority of the downfalls I experienced stemmed from. I think our waiter was trying to do too much at once which triggeredthe overall underwhelming service. So most of it was probably not his fault. However some of it was most certainly his fault. Icertainly understand being overwhelmed clouds judgement. When someone is paying 300 dollars for two I expect things to go a lotsmoother. The steaks we ordered were excellent. Two of the three sides were very good. One was probably the worst thing I’veever been served though. They were kind enough to offer to take it off of the bill but didn’t. We had been there so long atthat point I didn’t even want to wait any longer for them to fix the bill. I probably won’t be going back unless I get agift card or something. I found nothing that set them above any other high end steak house in Indianapolis. There again though Ihaven’t been to any of them since America became so short handed. Maybe this review should be less about this particularrestaurant and more of just a warning to the public, that if you go out to eat be prepared for an understaffed restaurant tryingto maintain. I still have to give three stars for those mushrooms being a disgrace to all humanity, and for making me wait ahalf hour before bringing bread out. Also from the time I dropped my fork to the time I finally got my check back it was easilya half hour. I’m a simple guy bring me some good food bring me my check. You make me sit there extended periods hungry in thebeginning, and full at the end you get 3 stars. Have me back on your dime and change my mind! The food was fantastic! Our waiter was engaging, knowledgeable, and so funny. The drinks were so well balanced and delicious. We... were very pleased. My one gripe is when we walked up to the hostess stand one of them said "can I help you" not in a friendlyway either, no smile or welcoming gesture it was more like she was annoyed with us. Now, I may be spoiled but I'm used to ahostess asking "do you have reservations tonight" or "how many in your party" but this felt rude. A 5 star experience all the way around. Food was unbelievable and so savory and the staff was great. The environment was awesome... with great lighting and table settings. The place was packed and yet wasn't noisy because of the acoustics and layout you couldhave a nice conversation without yelling. This will be our special date go to place hands down and is worth our 2 1/2 hr drive. Read more
My husband and I have a date night once a month. We take turns picking the place, and this time it was my turn. I am the queen... of Yelp and Google Reviews to do my research. And the reviews barely touch how great this place was! I wish I could rememberthe young lady who greeted us, but it began there! She let us know (by her actions) that we were in for a fantasticexperience. After being seated, less than 3 minutes, we were introduced to Simon, what I can only describe as concierge, notwaiter. Simon literally picked out our whole meal. From our wine, main course, desserts, and coffee. The ONLY thing we pickedwas the appetizer (calamari), and that's because I had my eye on it when we were first handed our menus. The manager came tothe table at the appropriate time. Not when we both had a mouth full of food. (I hate that) And even after we paid, the sameyoung lady had not lost her sparkle. Again, I hate that I can't remember her name. The food was delicious!!!
