I’ve been going to Fujiyama since I was a young kid. Last night we had reservations for 6pm. We were not sat until 6:50pm. The... food was not started until 7:35pm all food was done and we were eating by 8:30 .. Usually with parties there is gratuity whichis what I expected. I was on a check alone so I expected to not have a huge bill. After she was sorting checks I wanted anadditional order to go. I get my check and that is included making the gratuity higher for an order I wanted to pay separatelybut it was too busy and too much commotion to try and get it changed. So I just paid it all together. I ordered the salmonteriyaki hibachi to go for my husband and I should have checked it right there but I trusted it would be fine it was $25 byitself. It was the dinner portion and price . But THAT IS NOT WHAT I got. He opened the container and there were almost noveggies and rice was a few spoonful and one small piece of salmon the container was not full at all and for as much rice as younormally get when you sit there vs what they put in this container the price should be different. Or get a container that canactually fit your normal portion. It was like a meal prep portion for a kid. But it was still $25 ??? If I get hibachi here orto go I would assume that the portions would be basically the same or close…this was a huge disappointment. I've seen this place tucked behind a gas station and fast food restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice decor inside.... It was much larger and nicer inside than I expected. We had reservations but were disappointed to still have to wait 20 minutesto be seated. We had to wait longer once we were seated for our orders to be taken. We didn't get served food until 45 minutesafter we arrived. It was a busy night and the place was packed so my mind understood that there would be a wait. My belly, onthe other hand, was empty, upset, and protested that we had made reservations. Once we got the food, it was just okay. The saladcame with a dressing that just tasted like a glob of mayo on lettuce. I ordered the Flaming Mt. Fugi drink which was prettysmall (more like a speedbump than a mountain) and mostly ice. If you love sushi, this is a great place especially Monday and Tuesday between 5 and 7pm(Happy Hours, 1/2 priced sushi) The... picture shown is the Temptation Roll! Everything is always so good here. Hibachi is also very good. We ordered House Soup,Seaweed Salad, Pork Belly Steamed Bun and 5 Rolls off of their special 1/2 Priced Menu numbers 8,9,10. I loved this place and the staff was pretty friendly. It had a very neat and kind of fancy vibe. The food was okay, the rice... tasted a little burned. Loved there Dynamite Shrimp though. Would definitely recommend the Dynamite Shrimp! It was superdelicious. Read more
