Hong Kong is a great option for Chinese take-out in Fountain Square. Food is fresh, inexpensive, and prepared fast.

First time eating here today. Got veggie lo mein. Noodles were dry and you’re unable to add extra sauce online. Bummer! Also... had Rangoon which barely had filling inside. Veggie egg rolls were dry. I ordered online and it finally finished so I came to pick it up while my fiance waited in car (he dropped me off) and when I... said pickup for "said name" this young guy immediately asked for the phone in which I reply it's in the car ,but we are parkedright over there . Then he seemed hesitant and then I replied annoyingly "we just got a bing message stating it's done ... -_-;*PLUS ours was the only order up there on the table ????? and he asked for the last name , which I gave him .he finally gave itto me .... Now before I go any further ,I'm black and we are an interracial couple . I got the feeling that he thought I wastrying to steal someone's food . This is a new(ish) Chinese restaurant in Fountain Square. I was pretty excited when the place opened because that is one genre... of food the area is lacking in - and Hong Kong fell about exactly where you would expect for the price point. The mostunfortunate part was that after placing the order via phone, I was given a 15 minute timeline to pick up the food. Unfortunatelyafter arriving, the food was not ready until closer to 35 minutes. It seemed that most of the orders that evening were grub huband the staff were confused by a call in order. Hands down the best Chinese takeout in Indianapolis. I had given up on even eating Chinese Takeout until I gave this hidden gem... a chance. I tried a classic, the general T'sos chicken, and it blew my expectations away. The chicken was crunchy and evenappeared to be freshly hand battered. The pork fried rice it came with was one of the best I've ever had. It was honestly sogood I wanted to order another meal again several hours later. Will be back asap to try another dish. Read more
