I had the chicken salad sandwich. The salad was bland and full of gristle. The bread was stiff and crumbly and fell apart as I... was trying to eat it. My mother also had a turkey sandwich that she said was just okay, but she could have made a better one athome. My daughter is a mac and cheese fiend, but didn't finish the cup I got her as a side to my sandwich. All around, the foodwas just meh, like cafeteria food. We used Illinois Street Food Emporium for our wedding because they have amazing donuts that are great quality for reasonable... prices with tons of variety! If you?re planning to be unconventional like us and have wedding donuts instead of cake, ISFEshould be your #1 choice!! Their donuts are fresh, big, and incredibly tasty. The best donuts in Indy, in my opinion. Vivian wasso kind and great to work with! Definitely recommend them for any donut or other cafe/bakery needs!! Nice place with a very great staff, poor parking (out of their control). I got a few thing outside of a rainbow sugar cookie!... The cookie was really good and the coffee was amazing. I got an ice coffee and the flavor was marvelous. The croissant I got wasdifferent, looked like a croissant but tasted like a flakey biscuit not as airy as the classic croissant. The fudge delight wasprobably my favorite bakery item I had? it was a coconut twist to a no bake cookie. They also had some frozen items that I willdefinitely be back for!!! Read more
I decided to try this place for lunch today. Having eaten their donuts previously, I knew they were legitimate bakers. The... question was -- are they legitimate restauranteurs. Based on the lunch I had, I wholeheartedly believe they can fail at nothing.While a simple sandwich, their grilled smoked turkey was delicious. It may well be my favorite turkey sandwich. The bread issoft but sturdy, the turkey is smokey and satisfying, and the cheese, lettuce, and tomato were fresh. The vegetable soup washearty and warming. I really like vegetable soups that don't skip over any vegetables like cabbage. For about $12, the wholeexperience was exceptional. The wait for service and food was well worth it. Perhaps, next time, I'll show up a little earlierand skip the $2.50 drink to keep it quick and under $10. I will definitely return. Read more
The food is always good, the staff is always friendly, everything always arrives in a very reasonable timeframe, it's... comfortable inside and outside, and the apple fritters are some of the best you'll find anywhere. It's a great, reliable,easy-to-enjoy local place. Read more
