I've lived here over 20 years, and never discovered this hidden gem. What looks like an unassuming ice cream shop is truly a... great Latin food experience in Indy. First of all, the place is immaculate. The staff is distinctly on their game. Mangonada?Perfect! Creamy mango ice cream, ripe, silky fresh mango, and a hit of funky spicy, savory syrup. I have never tasted it'sequal. Tamales? Generous, perfectly composed and seasoned. Esquites? Rich, cheesy, and presented elegantly in a styrofoam solocup. I could eat it every day. Two of us got out of there for $27 with nice tip. Will be going back way, way too often. Read more

YUM! If I could give more stars I would! The mangonada was absolutely beautiful to look at and eat!!! The flavor from the mango... was so fresh! The portion was good I would say, as it wasn?t too much or too little. I will definitely be back for moremangonada, in hopes that one day they may open another location more north! Read more
I saw a great picture on Instagram that Inspired me to make the trip down to check out lapalpa. They are located in a strip mall... off of hanna Ave. The inside is spacious and has some arcade games, they also have a great menu with some great options. I hadtwo tamales one jalapeño and cheese and then a pork, they were so tasty, full of flavor and spicy. I loved them. Elote is oneof my favorite things to eat and I always check it out when I can, they had awesome Elote and you can even get it in a cup ifyou prefer it that way. For a drink/ something on the sweet side I got a mangonada and it?s my new favorite drink, the perfectcombo of sweeter mango with the smoky spice of tajin, I loved it, and with how warm it?s been it hit just right.
