The staff is friendly, service is fast, food is quick and inexpensive, and outside seating area and off monon location is nice.... However, I feel like the food is below average. I had a Chile Rojo and it was surprisingly bland. Not much flavor at all. Mywife had similar feedback about her enchiladas: bland. Margarita was extremely sweet for my taste, too. So the food was nothingexciting and would earn only 2 stars. I feel like over the years, maybe capitalizing on the primeness of their location, thisplace has let go of making good food and is just milking the traffic. Likely will not go back here unless someone invites us tomeet them there. There are much better Mexican restaurants in Indy. Read more
We were there at a little busy late afternoon. The food were good. However, the services were a little rush without confirming... or asking for something else we needed. This was a cute lil place. Surprised I hadn?t been here before with as much. To start, our waiter was not the best lol. I feel... like he was just throwing stuff down on the table with no regards to how hard or where he was putting it. Regardless, you?re nothere to hear me speak about him. The atmosphere here was soooo pleasant. The music was bop after bop after bop. If you want tobe taken down memory lane, I would recommend! It is a smaller establishment, so keep is right inside, but the food is veryaffordable! Photo 1: The sangria It was really delicious. I wish they would?ve had a white sangria, but no complaints fromme! Photo 2: Corona margarita (MargaRona) The flavor was mango and it was delicious! Not too sugary, and you could definitelytaste the alcohol! This was my first one and I?d do it over and over again Photo 3: Enchiladas supremas One chicken, beef,steak and bean enchilada. Can?t really mess that up. Photo 4: Steak tacos These were right at the middle of the road for me.The steak meat was different from what I?ve had at other Mexican restaurants. It was almost pulled pork style steak and not justlittle chopped pieces, if you know what I mean. They were slightly dry also. Photo 5: Shrimp tacos These were decent. Honestly,I can?t say if they were better than the steak tacos. Photo 6: Tamales They only had pork, which is kinda sad. I was hoping fora veggie or bean, but these were delicious! Great food, service, fast with a smile. I just got back from staying at Saugatuck Cottage Suites in beautiful Saugatuck,... Michigan. My friend and I went for a walk after getting home today and stopped in to grab a bite and drink. Great experience :) Read more
Right by the monon so great people watching spot if you get a seat outside. The service was okay. It gets pretty busy and you... can tell the servers are on the weeds. The food was just okay. The queso was a bit runny and the meat was a bit underseasoned. The atmosphere inside was pretty okay as well. Honestly nothing remarkable. Read more
I tried out this establishment on a Tuesday evening at around 7:30. There was a line along the sidewalk waiting to get in, but... it moved fairly quickly and we were seated in about 10 minutes of waiting in line. The staff was also friendly. However, thefood took a long time to arrive - it wasn't until after 3 baskets of chips & salsa (about 50 min later) that our order wasfinally served. The food itself wasn't bad, but didn't really stand apart from most other Mexican restaurants that I've tried.While the food itself was standard, their excellent location at the heart of Broad Ripple and their outdoor patio seatingprovides a good atmosphere to just hang out for dinner. Love this little joint. Food is always great, love the salsa and the fresh tasting warm chips. I find myself going on the... weekdays with my two toddlers for lunch often & with my husband on the weekends. The waitstaff has ALWAYS been so nice andpatient with me and my children when we visit. I feel more like home each time I go & the girls love to see their ?friends? atthe place they get ?chips and salsa? lol Highly recommend! Side note: I?m not sure why some reviews stated that the waitstaffare harsh, rude or rushing, if anything they?re real & super normal and nice. They treat you like family & I love that. Read more
