Comfort food which has taste and portions the same since I was a teenager. Been going here for slmost 50 years, and the food is... tasty and consistent. Not a place to go if you are watching your weight they have always used lots of butter on the vegetablesand potatoes. Just like momma used to make. The price of a meat plate with al 2 sides is almost comparable to most fast foodburger and fries combo prices. Plus many times I am the youngest guy there. Read more

The first time we ever visited this restaurant we found it very friendly and different, It's a smorgasbord, you tell them the... entree you would like they fix your plate right in front of you, you have a variety of entrees, and sides to choose from.Desserts and salads cost a little bit more but it's worth the cost. There were four of us and we paid just over $80. TheStrawberry Shortcake is phenomenal. Now where I feel things can be improved on. I'm accustomed to getting three pieces ofchicken on an entree, they serve two of the dark meat, the thigh was a little small, and the leg was a pretty nice size. They dohave servers to help you carry your entrees to your table, and servers in different areas, our server did not check on us asmuch as I noticed other servers checking on their guests that would be my only setback, we still left a tip wasn't thetraditional tip that I would have left. I believe this would be a great restaurant for individuals and Families. I found theatmosphere of guests like a family with people interacting with each other laughing and having a great time with a great meal. MCL continues to be one of our favorites. Me and the wife try to eat here at least once a month. The food is always very good... And the service is excellent as well. Clean, tidy and good service what more can you ask for. Have had many meals here but TodayI had smoked sausage and sauerkraut, the wife had liver and onions. Please put this place on your list, not extremely expensiveand always good food and good service. Read more

I loved the food there and the service was great too! I had roast beef with a side of mac and cheese. My husband had the beef... Manhattan. Both delicious. We tried the cinnamon bread but I preferred the simple white bread. For dessert the spice cake wasmoist and so tasty and the sugar cream pie was also excellent! Highly recommended ???? Read more

I've ordered broccoli and cheese 3 times in the last month all 3 times it taste like they just took it out of the bag. It's... supposed to be steamed/cooked. I've also got the roast beef Manhattan that comes with more fat than meat. How long does it taketo thinly slice and clean up some fat before you cover it all up in mashed potatoes and hope no body conplains? Read more
