We got seated as soon as my family and I walked in but then we didn't meet our waitress for 15 minutes after being seated!!! It... was not very busy so we were very surprised!! Finally after being in the restaurant for 25 minutes we got our drinks and somebread. Good thing we had the bread because we didn't get our appetizers, soup and salads for another 20 minutes. Both soups werecold and looked like they had been sitting around for awhile. At this point we had been there for an hour and our 2 year old wasgetting antsy and very hungry!! So finally I asked for a manager and asked her to give us the bill for the food that we actuallydid get and eat and to please cancel our meals!!! The manager was actually very apologetic and took care of the bill!! My familyand I were traveling out of town for a sports event and had been on our way back home which from there was another hour away.That being said it was extremely disappointing!! We frequent the Outback Steak house at least 2-3 times a month in Lafayette andwe absolutely love it there. Wish we had waited till we got back into town!! Lol. My husband enjoyed his food. He had the salmon and Brussel sprouts with a house salad. I ended up giving all of my order back.... I ordered the Prime Rib outback style but it came out looking like a dead piece of meat????, not a typical prime rib so Ipassed. The menu doesn't state that a lot of items ha e hidden spice which I can't tolerate for medical reasons. The Brusselsprouts and ranch dressing have a spicy kick to them which I can't eat but the flavor was great if you can. The owner was niceenough to take the items off but I did leave hungry and ended up picking up fast food on the way home. ???? P. S. Waitressesshouldn't take it personally and change the service they give because a customer can't eat something. It has nothing to do withyou! Always a good place for a good steak ???? sometimes they put too much condiments or will overcook just a little the steak but in... general the food taste is great. I personally love the bread ???? ???? and the French Onion soup, that will always be a greatchoice in this restaurant chain. Read more
The food was excellent. Consistency is a strong suit of Outback. The Blooming Onion we ordered was huge and enough for our... party of 6 to share. The service was good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and brought us refills on our drinks beforewe ran out. The main dishes took a bit longer to get than it should have considering how empty the restaurant was but all ourfood came correct and hot. Will definitely be back for future meals. Read more
I want to say Thank You to Outback-Avon and their staff. They were the only restaurant in Avon that actually wanted a... ?reservation? for 12 And not just put us on a waitlist! The food and our server were awesome. Food was a little slow, but a lastminute 12 top can do that if not made in advanced. We were well aware and super appreciative.
