Award winning for a reason folks. It might be expensive but if you love sushi you will not go wrong here!! It's a very small and... intimate space but, cozy. If it's more than you and your spouse I'd suggest making reservations. You'll love it here! Greatfood, great atmosphere, the best sushi in town hands down!! Read more

Sakura is perhaps one of the best authentic sushi places in this hicks town of Indianapolis. We came here on Monday and unlike... what Anthony Bourdain's advice (never on Monday for weekend leftover) Sakura's chef special cuts (Omakasai) sashimi wereabsolutely freshest even in this Midwest town. Customers service was superbly attentive even on this packed Monday night. Highlyrecommended Read more

Excellent sushi just north of Indianapolis. The outside is a little rough but the inside is what you?d expect from a cozy... Japanese restaurant. I had the Philly Roll and the New York Roll. I wish the New York role had a bit more shrimp on it but itwas still delicious. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick! Read more

Some of the best sushi we?ve ever had! Prices were decent ($8-12 per role). The portion sizes were on the larger side, and... everything was very tasty! Service was great too Read more

I've been coming to Sakura for years, and I have no clue why I never put in a good word. Sakura is about as high quality and... fair priced as you're going to get in the Indy region. I wouldn't bother trying any of the boutique places downtown or on MassAve - you'll be disappointed compared to here. Ex Hot tea is $1.50. They will bring you refills. So many other places want tocharge $3 for a cup. It is one of those things overcharging for makes little sense They have all of the traditional Japanesemenu items you want...from a simple box to a donburi. The uni they get here is really really fresh - unreal for the Midwest.Make sure to let it sit in your mouth for a few seconds and THEN take a sip of water! The miso is always on point. Seaweedsalad is fresh. And all of the basic rolls taste great. Avoid the more complicated rolls. Stick to the hamachi and saba. Read more

The lady who brings you to your table and hands you the menu is just lovely. The service is great also. The people at the sushi... bar are doing a great job making those rolls. It was my first time today dining in and the sushi was amazing! Very fresh and hasexcellent flavors. I really recommend this place! Read more
