It's a bit dark, but that's probably good for the ambiance. The meatballs were an amazing appetizer. I loved the braised brisket... with mashed potatoes, peas, and carrots. Delicious! Read more

The atmosphere is great with outside seating if you are in the mood for it. It did get pretty pack during peak dinner hours.... Crowed was mostly only the older side with a few young families. Service was good. Our server Alex B. gave honestrecommendations. Checked in on appropriate times and was very friendly. Not sure how they handle section assignments but when itgot busy saw him running outside to inside which slowed him down in the end when we were ready for the check. Started with somedrinks and tried the spicy watermelon which tasted really close to the Mexican candy rebanaditas. The Tropical mule was prettyaromatic. The wedge salad was okay, it was drenched in dressing which made it a bit much. The balsamic flavor came from thetomatoes, which was a nice touch. I had the chef special which was a pre cut ribeye cooked medium with three dipping sauces. Itwas good but doesn't quite match the price. Also tried the brisket which was decent, the description alluded to something elsebut it's just a pot roast. The most disappointing part was the chocolate bread pudding. Super dry and had hardly anyflavor. Overall it was just average. The food is good, it just doesn't quite match the price point. Read more

Fun spot with a comfortable atmosphere and awesome cocktails. Started with the wedge salad (no croutons), the balsamic tomatoes... were at peak ripeness. The tomatoes paired well with the crisp iceburg lettuce and creamy bite of the horseradish blue cheesedressing. I ordered the nook pizza on gluten-free crust and it was phenomenal. I took 1/2 home and it was equally deliciouswhen eaten cold the next day. Here's the deal, 90% of gluten-free pizza is under cooked. The bottom of the crust never getstoasted. Not this crust, it was perfectly crisp. On to the toppings, the onions complimented the fennel in the sausage. Thenthere are the wine mushrooms... these meaty fungi were flavor bombs. Great balance between the texture and seasoning. It's veryunusual to have a pizza wow me. This one had it all, each topping added complexity without stealing the show. 10/10 would noshagain! Hubs got the fried chicken with green beans, mac and cheese. Enjoyed a nibble on the beans, also perfectly cooked andseasoned. All-in-all everything from service to food was on point. Can't wait to come back. Read more

My first visit to The Northside Social was an "Eggscellent" breakfast after a wonderful sunrise worship service with family! I... had the "Kitcher Omelette" with a side of bacon. While the house potatoes, and toast with jam were the perfect accompaniments tothe meal, I must say the horseradish inside the omelette was unexpected and just the right flavor to make my taste buds sing! Mysister had the "Brioche French Toast" and gave it rave reviews! I will definitely go back on my next visit to Indy!! Read more

Loved everything about my dining experience at Northside Social. Lovely, friendly staff. Amazing cocktails. DELICIOUS, refined... entrees and appetizers. Visiting from the Windy City, this restaurant could contend with any of the establishments in ourdowntown region. I will have dreams about the Parmesan Chicken dish and that cornbread. I also loved the french rosé martini. Read more

I must admit, I arrived at this location and had thoughts of my grandparents property in Alabama. From the white wooden benches... lining the outside to the greenery of the hanging plants, I could only think of comfort. The service here is attentive andhonest. Our server recommended the Hollandaise, a bourbon drink not on the menu, but a must have. If you try anything, try thefried chicken. This fried chicken would even make Minny proud and you know Minny don't burn chicken. I have never tasted friedchicken that could live up to my grandma's EVER. The chicken was crispy and yet juicy. Paired with the cheesest mac and cheeseI've had in a while, this is the meal for you. At first, I was skeptical of the blandness of the greenbeans but noticed theyserved as a much needed palette cleanser between bites of the rich chicken and flavorful mac and cheese. I can't wait to visitthis place again. Truly comfort food for those missing the south. Read more
