We went here for lunch after doing a hike on the cabot trail. The service was wonderful, the ambience of the restaurant was... terrific and best of all the food did not disappoint. The place was packed and loud, which is what you would expect from a place that provides great food and values their customers.... Three in our group has the ringer and loved it. The crab dip was delicious too. You may want to make reservations if you're on aschedule. Read more
Coastal Should NEVER get less than five stars. Every burger is amazing tasting, and we had chicken this trip which was amazing... as well. The cinnamon skillet is the most ridiculously awesome tasting dessert I've ever had. An absolute must get. The staff isso friendly as well. Everytime my family and I are in the area we stop in for food. This past trip we went an hour and fortyfive minutes out of our way just to eat at Coastal. We had a really nice time at Coastal last night! We went around 5.45pm and had to wait a relatively short amount of time (maybe... 15 mins), but we were served a drink while we waited. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. The staff werefriendly and the beer was good. Would definitely recommend though note the early closing times of all restaurants on the Cabottrail and make sure you get there early! Read more
What an amazing experience! Like many who have come before me, I saw Coastal on You Gotta Eat Here and it did not disappoint. I... had the lobster sandwich with double the meat and it was so worth the extra cost. We also had the Fisherman's platter and whilethey were out of the fried clams, they happily replaced it with another piece of cod, which by the way was beautifully fried andflaky and moist. Fries were perfectly crispy and the scallops were also amazing. We finished it all off with the cinnamonskillet ????heaven on a plate. Food came out quickly once ordered, and our server was a really nice guy. If I didn't live sofar away I would gladly come again. I highly recommend Coastal Restaurant & Pub! Read more
Stopped into the coastal restaurant for supper. Very nice restaurant. Outdoor dining available also. Extremely friendly waiter.... Our food was delicious. Didn't get a chance to try the famous ringer burger, but our chicken wrap and seafood plate was reallygood. They also had a kids menu that our son ordered from. Big portions. Not bad prices. All in all had a wonderful experiencehere and would definitely recommend if you are in the area! Read more
Great food, lovely server, cute chalkboard drinks menu and bar decor, but know that food takes about 45 min to arrive after... ordering. Best mussels I have had on cape Breton! Fluffy batter for fish and chips! Read more
They featured a few years ago on « You gotta eat here » so we thought we pop in. The service is friendly and the food is... good. Had to have the Cinnamon skillet (also featured on the show I found the episode on youtube). Really nice place with a goodvibe. Read more
