The building is lovely with tin ceilings. While waiting, the couple in front of us was immediately told by the hose "I must... tell you that we do not accept walk ins." The couple had made a reservation and were a little upset, but were seated. We got thesame line, though we also had reservations. Not very welcoming, for sure. Our party of 7 was seated in a lovely, private room.Drink orders were taken, delivered, and we then sat there, unattended, for 35 minutes. I finally call out to a waitress passingby, "could we please have some bread?" We got regular store rolls and homemade corn bread which was inedible. Burned on theoutside, raw dough on the inside. Finally, our orders were taken. We got our dinners 80 minutes after arrival. Everyone saidtheir meals were good. Mine-prime rib-was fair. After I ordered it, I was informed that the rib was grilled tonight. That meant,of course, that what I ordered medium rare was medium well and very dry. The glazed carrots were delicious. The garlic smashedpotatoes appeared to be instant with garlic added. No skins. Total bill with a bottle of wine and two beers $250.00 plus tip.Oh, and, a $50. deposit is required with reservation.
